Well....
 I am sitting here with it all set up but I can help but just sit here and stare at it.I mean I KNOW Im gonna plug it in but I am quite content just sitting here typing over it with my nose on the leather wheel......

wheel's a little thin in my hands, which causes discomfort in long races... gonna find me an alcantara wheel cover... trouble is, wheel too small for standard motor factor fayre, so gonna get one from ripspeed or similar... lovely wheel though, shifter ok, pedals pretty good too.

Sh1te I gotta couple of questions:(or any other G25 users plz do tell ASAP)
 I wanted to give the old Iron in GTL a go with the gated shifter before I ripped into my current racing fave GTR2. I CANT FIND THE REVERSE GATE!!??

Oh and Im interested in everyones revision. Its on the sticker that held the bag with the software/manuals in it(which I might add also contained Rfactor so looks like Im getting sucked into that afterall....)
If not Im sure I can find another place to find your revision. For reference mine was a Rev. 101 so I wonder what they changed.
BUT FOR THE LOVE OF PUPPIES PLZ SOMEONE TELL ME HOW TO GET INTO REVERSE!

Yeah it is a little different, for me a big change from the momo but It feels more like a real wheel don't you think?

Whaaaa you're gonna cover up that nice leather? Don't put one of those furry things on it LOL

Yeah mine had rFactor too but I already own it!! Did it actually come with an activation code?

Reverse:- push down on stick then pull right and back- easy??

Gated reverse is effectively 6th while pushing down on the stick... tbh, i did use the gated shifter in gtl, but the detente isn't sufficiently precise, leading to many missed/wrong shifts... before getting the g25, was leading div 2, after getting g25, didn't score another point for 5 races... finally got to grips with the gated crap, and was relatively successful, but like yourself, playing plenty of gtr2 since getting it for crimbo, and so now just leave shifter in sequential mode, otherwise i'm blowing shifts all over the place... consistency is best!

Gotcha! of course I knew there would be a trick to it. Okay NOW Im off to race a bit offline and get a setup. But I expect you will find my on the SJ GTR2 server peeling off laps trying to get a good FFB profile. Feel free to join me I should probably end up there within the hour Im sure.
Im just updating my Rfactor(yes I unlocked it) I bought this this I bloody well better start using it!

NP, Welll since that great little GTR2 GUI hack came out I have somewhat toughened them up some now that I can see what Im affecting and adjust it without leaving the game.I must admit tho its VERY smooth and corners very precisely but why cant Logi get the on centre feel right. I suppose I may have to add some Centering Spring to the equation and see how it makes out.

Okay so now that I have spent some time with this I have some conclusions.
First off I have no changes to offer to my original GTL FFB settings(first thing I fired in after getting this set up to "row" a bit) it felt great, I could still feel the differences in the cars handling/weight so I cant say I can offer any real changes there.
GTR2 is a bit weaker/lighter with the same GTL settings but then that may be intentional. None the less the GUI mod for the FFB has allowed me to improve the feeling of GTR2 some and I will update my FFB thread accordingly.

Well I tryed avoiding rFactor as much as I could but Im afraid I have been sucked in head first(already into 1/2 a dozen mods already)This one I will have to work on some more. I personally have found most cars handle fairly well with just the full FFB settings, but I haven't applied any PLR magic yet as I have just finished getting all my G25 Profiles set first(Paddles, Seq, Gated) now that I have that all sorted I will start looking at FFB and hopefully by next weekend I will have a full FFB Thread update with new Pics and Info.

Thanks mate!, The research continues. Try to keep it under your hat mate until I can get a solid blueprint at least.

I just bought the G25. I like the controller so far, it took a bit to get used to the shifter though, after a little bit it is as comfortable as the real thing. The only thing I noticed is when heel/toe action is applied the throttle seems to lag as the brake is depressed. I got around this by learning to drive over again...basically as I am getting to the corner I am in the highest gear possible then apply brake with my right foot, down shift with my left working the clutch, no throttle used...just before I need to turn in I am off the brake, apply the throttle and grab the preferred gear for the corner and throttle though it. Working pretty good...would love to heel/toe if there is a mod of some kind to fix the gas and brake conflict...braking point would definitely increase...

Just drive it and see what you think m8, slowly get used to it.. and for god sakes use the clutch and the shifter and autoclutch off, try and learn to hear when the shiftingmoment comes
