That's right...  You heard right...

The Byronic Cyberphonic Shiftomatic
(Not available in the Shops).

Actually - it's just a a couple of bits of wood.

Thing is, I wanted my shifter to be at my side rather than up next to my wheel, but I didn't want to be bolting unsightly bits of wood to my desk.

I got a bit of 1x1 and some MDF that I had left over from fitting my bathroom, and I went at 'em with a jigsaw and a drill.

So...  the long bit clamps under both of the wheel's desk clamps (having removed those big plastic spacers) and the shifter clamps onto the flat bit.  When I pack my wheel away, it packs away too. 

Job done.

It's nicely done.  But like many other Brits, you cocked up and put the shifter on the wrong side.

Nice bit of creativity there Byron. :) Smart thinking on the mounting there. After you get the patents done, would be great if you'd put it on TWIP  ;)
