i have to learn to setup a wheel & drive again
« on: December 27, 2007, 10:11:58 pm »
 :biggrin: :biggrin: ..FINALLY i got my grubby hands and feet on a G25  thumbs up....

...i expected better than my DFP but i didn't  expect such a jump in quality and feel  :biggrin:

slightly bigger wheel  and that pedal cluster  :nose: thumbs up thumbs up thumbs up {spent most the day altering my "seating area" to allow for a bigger wheel and bigger pedal box, still working on the placing of the gear shift unit }

now i got to build my leg muscles up to cope with the extra spring pressure lol

with a little luck i should be drifting back on the track soon as i get it feeling good for me and remember to use my left hand on the gear nob instead of my right like with the DFP  :grrr:

and i got to stop pressing the clutch thinking I'm on the brake i been so used to left foot braking and only 2 pedals {come to corner push pedal expect to slow down but actually speed up as the car coasts with clutch pressed and not brake } :grrr:

looking though this section for setting up tips so any extra tips great fully accepted  ;) ;)

Cool stuff Giz.

I know what you mean about the clutch pedal being used as a brake, lol , I personally only use it for shifting up (Paddle and Sequential) when possible and when down shifting I still use my left foot on the brake with shots of gas using my right foot. When I am using the H Gate I do use the clutch for up and down shifts though which just takes time gettng used to.

I find it really helps with getting good rythem at some tracks.
