« on: August 27, 2009, 02:53:59 pm »
Hi guys I need some advice .. i want a really good mouse for gaming .. its going to be a present for my brother.. I have a g5 which i like .. but would like your input . He plays games like  .. call of duty, Crysis, ArmA... stuff like that.   What do you guys use or would like.

Its his 50th birthday and hard to buy for as he has all the toys ....(jealous) but noticed his mouse is not that great

I use Logitech MX518 which is reasonably priced and a very decent gaming mouse. Fits bit bigger hand also.

I use that one in the office.
Not by far the quality of the G9, but also accurate and good.

Using a G5 here at the moment and it's the best mouse I ever had. Would probably be looking at the G9 if I were upgrading now though :)

€100 aint that bad for quality.. more like €90 even.

and for a 50th birthday, I would say it is reasonable...

I use the same mouse as Jarkko, so I guess that makes me Uber Gamer by association :)

I use an old MX1000, I do not think you can even buy those anymore. I have not found a reason yet to upgrade, none of the wireless mice I have seen have matched it for what I like. Wired is a big no for me, interferes with my gaming and bugs me in general.

I have recently picked up a Microsoft X8 mouse.  Took some getting used to but I am loving it.  First wireless mouse I've bought and the recharge system is great!  You can keep using it whilst it is charging and the cable is attached by magnets so you just sweep it over and it locks on automatically.
