I dont own one (yet) need yhe money(which i also dont have) to up date my puter, but 500 bucks is what in real money ? seems like it was overpriced, 170(ish pounds in the UK

remember and take your time, there are lots of things to play about with the new wheel, like wheel rotation and then you have to balance that with the garage steering lock for the car, it's almost like starting again but it's not !

btw steiny i found another person with the same issue, he is some finnish guy who had the issue in Live for speed... so you are not alone.. no idea did he get it fixed though.

I have recently purchased the G25 and absolutely love the device, that could be my happy go lucky personality though... what happened?

Let me say I upgraded from an old Formula Force GT wheel with pedals to the G25... so I really have no choice but to be happy...I have force feedback again...

Well, Jeff, this is the other Jeff............I was there, and I felt your frustrations first hand...........

Rest Assured, its not the wheel, mate........... Milady is just an ace driver.

Plus many have stated in numerous posts, the G25 is very complicated to get set up, and then learn to drive.

Although, if any one here would like the Play-By-Play, I will glady whip one up and send it for your entertainment pleasure!!!!!!!!!!!

No need to explain it all - it's just rubbish. Won't hold settings... have to adjust f/feed all the time & to every car by the looks... etc etc etc etc...

The main problem! I can change gears with out the clutch in! yeah a full sequential 6-speed gated shifter! - I thought the idea was ya couldn't change gears unless the clutch WAS PUSHED IN! - or is it a new technology thing I didnt read?

That ain't a fault with the G25, Jeff. That's something that's lacking in the games you're playing.

If someone was to model a game engine that grinded the gears and damaged the gearbox if you didn't use the clutch, the G25 would accommodate those features effortlessly.

try it with netkar pro, you need to use the clutch there or make sure you time the changes, like a real gearbox.
Also Jeff, many modern cars will allow you to change without a clutch, if you do it right, but yes, as Byron said, its the games you are playing. Netkar pro is the only one to get it right so far.

As for not holding settings, return and get a replacement, you shouldnt have that problem, either that or there is something amiss in the software. the G25 really is worth the money.

The G25 is the best wheel I have ever owned. I have only had mine for a few weeks and Im not sure where your issues are but a few hours with each game and I had them all running like silk over satin, and I have NEVER had a wheel that felt so realistic in my hands(OMG it comes back to centre!!)
The Clutch thing: you do understand that most race cars have Straight Cut Gearboxes so you can slam the gears without clutching(within reason of course) rFactor is the one that does the clutch best and will punish you "more" for sloppy shifting(I am pretty much a total Gated convert and spend as much time practicing it as I can)
If you want some set up tweaks feel free to PM and I will gladly send you whatever PLR's tweaks you want(Im sorry Im not well and havent had the time to update the "Perfect FFB" Thread like I said I have been planning on doing.

it just sounds like to much hassle - my old wheel didn't have to go through all this crap - just plug it in and go - not this thing... piss fart around with friggin settings & stuff - just annoying. Probably easier to pack it up put it back in the box & shove it on top of the cupboard - thanks anyway guys.

You havent even given it a chance to wear in let alone know what a good thing you really have.

anything worthwhile takes time effort and a bit of work, if its easy, how good is it really?
stereo example time. a cheap ass stereo is easy to use, you dont need to read the instruction sheet to turn it on. A good quality system usually takes time to learn how to use it to its full limits. No different to your wheel.
