G25 Slightly off centre
« on: January 11, 2008, 07:53:52 pm »
I hope somebody can help me... My G25 is only 3 months old and i am very happy with it, however just recently i have noticed everytime i power up my pc and go to race a sim, the wheel is about 5 or 10 degrees off centre.
Unplugging the usb cable doesn't rectify the problem and the only solution i have found is to unclamp the wheel, power down the Pc, unplug the power cable to the wheel and then reverse the process, which as you can imagine is a complete pain. Is this a common flaw or do i have something set up wrong.. Or in the worse case is the wheel defective.

Dont know if its the same as the Momo black, but when ever my wheel is off center i just do full lock in both directions and all is fine
Hope it works for your wheel cos its alot less hassle than all that unpluggin shit  :salute:

i've had a similar issue, but not for some time.  i believe i rectified it by reinstalling the drivers... oh, and make sure you're not using the profiler!

You might also try just recalibrating it in Control Panel.   :)

Do you have an option for that Ray? Mine calibrates when start/restart my PC, can't for the life of me find a calibrate button in Control Panel for the G25, would love to know where it is though :yep:

In the profiler,
Device / Game Controllers / Properties

Then just test, move each control.

Ah ok, I don't use the profiler which would explain why I had never seen the calibrate options. Thanks Warren.

I had the same problem too once - I used this & all was ok again.  I think it clears extra lines or duplicate files or something from ya driver config - I can't remember but you might have to re-install the driver again after you run this program - but try it 1st before you do it might just work.

Hope this helps it did for me no problem.

Cheers
Jeff
