I have tried settings from this fine forum, but I get major shakes when wheel is centered in GTL only. Only just started to try GTL properly with the G25 with some of the likely lads earlier.

Can someone with a G25 that has a great FFB setup please share their settings, plr file?

It is most likely the engine vibe that causes the shake. I know alot of people using my settings say they get the shake too, but mine shakes too but ONLY if I let it. The wheel only requires the lightest pressure to stop the shake(it is afterall the FFB) IF you let it shake it will and it will only build up.(think gyroscope)

I have recently messed about with my FFB settings and have made some improvements(thanks to some wonderful community member/s that have made a great GUI mod that allows most of the FFB PLR. settings to be accessed in game.(I will of course update all of this shortly in my "Perfect" FFB Thread soon as I have done the bad deed and ordered a G25last night)

if its the engine vibe, then fiddling with the .plr file should help.

Yes Pierre I will get a link up(try over at NoGrip or RSC woulda been where I found it) I apologize as its late and it was rather early when I posted I will find it tomorrow.

This GUI mod is for GTR2
I have no idea how it would react with GTL but I may try it as I have no issues buggering up my GTL to be the guinea pig as its "gathering dust" on my HDD(the reason I ordered my G25 to motivate me to race more)

Wasn't there something mentioned about the deadzone to stop the 2 ffb engines working in on eachother at the TDC ? or a deadzone in the FFB somehow.. or where they working on it?

i think i've read it somewhere before. or was that you already Shawn!? hehe

Err... I thought the Settings window you have in the top left wasthe Profiler!

That's the bit that loads with the driver, isn't it?

I don't have a G25, so I'll bow out of this thread now!

Gogs, the Damper effect is one of those effects that GTL doesnt use as far as i know, so its
added by the driver.. i havent had it on for ages, neither the sprin effect... feels good.

Yeah, I don't use spring effects, damper or centering spring.

I wondered what people meant when they said they didn't use the profiler, now I see.

I just access the same settings window via the profiler, I might try it without now, although I'll have to remap my buttons in GTL.

You're right about the shake biuld up, I don't find it's a problem but some do apparently.

What's this about the FF GUI? If it's for GTL i am very interested in seeing this and trying it for myself. I had similar in rFactor and it was very handy to be able to change settings on the fly

The FFB GUI Mod for GTR 2 can be found HERE at No Grip I didnt see one for GTL but I am curious about your one for Rfactor as its the last game I need to workover FFB settings for before I overhaul my "Perfect FFB" Thread so it would be very helpful and greatly appreciated.
On another note tho, it may be possible to convert that GUI Mod easy enough for GTL as they the same engine(Im not that programming savvy to tear it apart and find out)

Well I am more of a Hardware guy than Software, so its beyond be but I did just try a simple rename and that accomplished nothing

It does work great in GTR2 I was able to fine tune mine to exactly the way I want it.

I had the same problem in gtl....
But i reinstall the software again.....
After that the shake on the wheel
disappeared for me....Or get to the g25 setup
and turn down the ffb........

well i just edited my, steering wheel to 599 degrees instead of the full 900.feels fine,get a little rumble from dirtyvfr settings, dampers =0,c/spring center=0, overall effects=100,spring effect=0 also used dirtyvfr adjustments in .plr file.

still a bit rough but i have manged to get around mosport for a few laps anyway.

but i guess these variables which is causing the shake.<---great name to call it.

Yep Banger thats the section.
If you have GTR2 the GUI hack makes adjusting that stuff easier(you can jump to the garage, change it and go back out again and test. I know GTR2's FFB isnt as exaggerated as GTL but the settings are the same.
I would sort it in GTR2 (the Vibe then just match it in GTL)

I still think my original "Perfect FFB" settings are still pretty good even with the G25(I recall someone recently calling them "fiction" but then that someone apparently had no clue how to properly set up his wheel

) He's sorted now FINALLY. Thanks for helping me get thru to him BTW

I would try those as a base and adjust from there(I like em strong so I feel like Im driving a race car without power steering) so if the feel is right in them for you then you just need to turn down the max output until you find the balance(I also recall all the damping has been removed from that one as well(I found it helped with "feel" when eliminating them) tho with the G25 I havent found much benefit to them in say GTR2 or rFactor I havent really driven much GTL as its my least favourite of the group.
