Importing paints from Race07 to STCC

Is it possible to import the cars listed in below into the STCC Chevy?  If so is it a lot of work?  Even if it is possible is anyone here willing to make it happen?  Originally they are Race07 cars.

I guess Worldspan really isn't a team in the Biblical sense, but I love this paint.  I plan on joining the NA STCC in June, and if it's possible I'd like to drive the old Chev.  It's only got about a hundred miles on it from one weekend at Macau.

Any help or advice is appreciated.  If someone can explain how to do it (assuming it can be done) I am willing to give it a try.  I might edit a couple things too in order to update it, (Like removing the logo of the company that put a stick in my ass for starters) lol but again I don't know if this is possible.

I still have the .psd files of all team worldspan cars, I would be happy to update them for you, but I don't have the STCC add-on  :(

I don't know what template the STCC chevy uses but I will be happy to send anyone my files of it if I cant help  :?:

I don't see a "Chevy template" in the STCC rars so um, I suppose they're the same as the Race07 templates?

 I'l take a look later (tomorrow?) as I was wanting to do an STCC Chevy.

 Makes me suspect the template will be the WTCC one(?) I need to sleep soon and daughter's birthday party tomorrow but will try when I get a chance and let you know.

Marcus, I think it might be an easy one. I think someone told me that you simply have to rename the car in the older WTCC07 ini file. I'll give it a go later and see if it's possible.

yup, the template is from race07 and needs to been fixed in the *.ini

Done. I needed an excuse to paint something. I'm hardly a Chev fan but still nice to add one more to the garage

i love your enthusiasm Den   :excited:   but we need to get you into some more advanced skinning so they look more like race cars than sunday afternoon banger racing (something i'm moving into next)..
now we know you can paint so try a one off and try to make it look like an official paint job like phil and stick do so very well amongst others.

After all the trouble of lining up the stripes etc on my older stuff, I wanted a cleaner look.

 Once I'm done with this one though, I have some ideas, just need to read my photoshop book and learn that fade stuff, etc.

 In the meantime,I will finish the "Petrolheads Hobart" set and then redo this one as individual cars so I can upload them to my site.

You will surprise yourself with how easy photoshop makes you look like pro  :innocent:

The first step is to challenge yourself, books are good, but trial and error are my greatest tools (admittedly my only tools!)

I'm not painter but I did manage to barely get a paint, painted.  I don't know what happened to the post but that damned car took me ages!  And it looked shit.  lol

You'll get the advanced stuff down Den. There are enough guys here who have put in the painful amount of hours necessary to work it out, and I'm certain they'd be willing to lend a hand.

Having said that, I can't paint for shit.  And when I do, it looks like something a six year old could do.  lol
