Custom Vette for GTR2 question and criticism

I have just made my first standalone care for GTR2 thanks to nissian mans guide(it was a great help for the complete beginner that I am at this :salute:) and ran into a few issues you guys may be able to help me with.

First is there is a problem with the rf fender missing some color. I have not found any problem with the .gtr files I have made. The problem is circled in green on attached file 1.

The second problem I have is that I have painted over the names on the rear window in my window dds file, but the names are still ghosted on there. Problem is circled in green, attached file 2.

Finaly I am open to any of your opinions, this is the first time I have tried this, and my goal was to have a nice custom car to hopefuly run for the next season of NA-GTR2. I knew nothing on how to create a standalone car untill I read the guides and I thank everyone that contributed to them!  :)

Nice car Andy.

I can help you with the window problem.  You need to edit the alpha channel in Photoshop.  If you open up the window template and hit the Channels tab at the top of the Layers pallette, you'll see a channel called Alpha1.  Select that and paint out any dark areas of text with the grey colour of the windows.

With alpha channels, black is transparent and white is opaque.  Shades of grey are semi transparent.

Thanks Byron, that was it for the window. Thanks for that info on the alpha channels as well, gives me somthing else to play with on the windows. I have a feeling that my other problem is deeper than just me missing something in photoshop.

OK I am pretty sure I am done with the car. With the advice from Byron, I was able to ghost my avatar pic onto the rear window. thumbs up Attach photos are at the bottom, please share your thought on my car!(Also I still have that strange problem around the RF fender :?:)

Best part: The line of the blue/white seperation on the rear of the car, very dynamic.

Is this a standalone car, because if it is, then i have no problem using it for season 2. :) Byron is painting a Viper for me as well, and I would like to use it also. And of course any others that want a custom skin are welcome.

Yeah, it is standalone, but I do not know how to load it up on this site. I belive it is too large to attach(zipped down to 1.41Mb), or am I mistaken? Should I repost this car in the GTR2 realease subforum? I am still learning things around here.

It will be cool to have a handfull of standalone cars next season, gives it a better personalized feel.
