Adobe Photoshop Elements 7-would it work?

 I have a chance to get Adobe Photoshop Elements 7.

 But I haven't a clue what Photoshop is what as there seems to be literally dozens of versions.

 So, is this Elements 7 enough to do skins and stuff?
 or what does one need? Which photoshop?

 Ihave paintnet etc but can't navigate it as there's NO tutorials on using it. So if Elements 7 is enough I'd have the offer. But if not then I have no use for it and better to let someone who WILL use it get it.

Photoshop Elements is absolutely perfect for doing skins and stuff.  It doesn't have all the fancy gadgets and bells and whistles that CS4 Extended has, but you would never use any of those for car skinning anyway.  You'd be able to follow all the RSP tutorials to the letter with Elements.

In a way, as a starter package, it's better, because there's less confusing stuff to get bogged down with.  It's still an EXTREMELY powerful tool too.

 Cool, thanks Byron. that's what I needed. Straightforward and to the point as all I want it for is skinning cars.
