Well, almost unbelievably, we are fast approaching week 20 of AlfaTina! The question is, do we need to change anything?  Are people still enjoying the series, the format, the cars and so on?  Your views are what steer this ship, so if there is anything you would like to suggest, fill your boots!

An odd Abarth run every once and a while?

To me, it's absolutely fine as it is. But it's more about the 'event' than the vehicles. I also vote for keeping it called 'AlfaTina'

Funny, I was actually just thinking about this today. About how the alfatina is great but maybe these cars are getting a bit.. well... not old, they're already old, well you know.

It's probably mostly because I suck so bad in GTL and in these cars. I don't really mind of course, it's just the alfatina. If you do decide on different cars, or maybe even a different game for a while, I will welcome the decision.

Was thinking though. GTL is what started simjunkies pretty much (although I wasn't there) and the alfatina races are there to recapture some of that old time spirit of SJ. Right? So I would imagine some people not wanting to change game. Other cars would probably be alright though. 

Alfatina has become an '( ) institution' very quickly.
I think the cars are perfect for both razor sharp battling and inviting newcomers to GTL and everyone or everything in between.

In various 'states' these cars can be dealt with well and swapping cars and trying to be as fast as in the other makes for even better challenges.

Learning cars SO well is another benefit from this club.
I never thought I would ever get into sliding or drifting which I can use in f.i. SJC and also can adapt to other faster or slower cars and even other sims.

Beacuse it's all fun and no points I take more risks and don't care a lot when I get it wrong. To learn that in such great company and atmosphere is a treat!  Wherever I start or am in the race, I always meet challenges and fun people, vewwy vewwy dwunk or not.

I say, keep on keeping on, it's one of the coolest things I've ever seen..

From a personal perspective, i am no fan of rFactor, and seldom fire it up.  I am a big, big fan of GTR2, although my experience with P'n'G is very limited; but i really like some of the cars, in particular the 5speed Arbarth.  Another aspect i really like about the mod is the "feel" you get using the gated shifter.   I like the variable weather in GTR2, especially with the weather generator thingy which gives a forecast in advance, and night-racing looks a treat; but both come at the cost of frames, and i wouldn't want to rule anyone out, simply because their machines couldn't run it.

you cannot argue with the numbers, and even 20 weeks in (20! 'kin 'ell!), there are still plenty of people turning up (although I've slept for the last couple!)  i do not feel it would be right to switch games at this time, although I wouldn't rule it out in the future, as long as everyone is happy to switch.

I wanted to canvas opinions, simply because i don't want the series to go stale.  The cars can be varied, as long everyone has at least a chance of getting them round the track.  Personally, i love driving the Cortina, and am happy to continue with things as they are.  But I'm not adverse to change, and if you want to mix in some special events, then let's do it.  Jarkko has mentioned Arbarth's, Lee loves his Alpines, and i remember Warren was keen on the Mini's being included, all of which would be great fun (as long as we can also include the beautifully modelled Elite).  However, the soul of AlfaTina is GTL, and at this moment in time, it is not negotiable (wow... get me... consider yourselves moderated!)

How about we all try it with our trousers on for a change?  A change is as good as a rest. :biggrin:
