One solution for Steam issues..
« on: October 24, 2007, 11:42:08 pm »
..is to:

1.Close Steam.
2.Delete "clientregistry.blob" which is located in the Steam root folder.
3.Lauch Steam and see if it helped.

This helps for example when a game you own and have installed wont show in the list properly.. etc..
You get the idea... Seems to be a same sorta fix for Steam as reboot is for pc.. usefull all arounder and
first poke at a problem.

:excellent: Jarkko.  I've had problems with Steam (yet?), but this looks like valuable info.   :ty: for sharing it.   :hats off:

Good advice Jarkko, that one has saved me a few times. Also, when deleting that .blob file, also delete this one too.

AppUpdateStats.blob

The problem I am having with Steam/Race07 is when I load into a multiplayer server everything is good, but when I click on RACE, my wheel starts to jump around and my tach goes crazy and nothing works :?:..........So steam? me? both?

did you happen to alt+tab to the desktop at any time?

or receive an msn message?

that sometimes causes me problems, but not often

i think you can turn the vibration down in the control menu, look for engine vibration slider.
