Look at this DVD RW test results?

I was testing DVD RWs read speed which was rated at 16x. It peaked at about 9.5x. However it still cannot read one of my games that requires a DVD 8x drive.

Whats the highest I can go up to as far as a games DVD drive requiremnt goes? (5x??)

P-CAV is used for writing CD or DVD's, so I think this is not a read but write test you did?

Not sure what p-cav is but I used neros speed test to get those results. They seem right to me because it gives an average speed rating less than half of what the manufacterer stated and it is completely incapable of playing an 8x rated game. My other drive is completely busted so I am stuck with this.

looking at the pic it shows VA082 which is modded firmware for DRW1016UI/DRW1116UI, DRW1016UB/DRW1116UB which i believe gives the drive 10x capability which makes 9.5 sound not so bad a bit more info on your actual drive/firmware  may help. marc
