DFP + Vista = Issues [ISSUE RESOLVED, Vista removed]

Oh, yay...

Finally get the urge to do some driving again, I plug in my wheel, and nothing. No self check, nought. Plug into my PS2, it goes into self check (GT4 never leaves the PS2) and theoretically works fine.

Also, the Logitech drivers do not notice the wheel... Any ideas?

Ayup that's what I have in. Specifically the 64 bit version as that's what I have. (Maybe that's worth noting?)

Maybe try shutting off the computer and then starting up after you've plugged it in?

Does the USB port work with other USB devices?

Tried it.

The USB port works with my flash drive but not with my mouse. So I tried the one known as good (where the mouse usually is) and still no dice.

After a few other things came up with Vista, namely it getting hit with a virus somehow and then losing any and all ability to play anything, I'm back on XP.

And guess what? The DFP went through self-check sometime during XP setup. And when XP fired up. Something tells me it was Vista not liking me.

in xp i needed 5 restart to install my g25. in vista i was needing only 1 try. Finaly a big thx to Mr. Gates!!!  rofl rofl rofl :burn him:

rofl I had the exact opposite problem.

Vista wouldn't send it into self check yet XP does... Must've been something screwy with my USB controller drivers.

Ah well XP's a ton less hassle IMO. Vista took a lot to set up.

Yeah im one of the guys who used Vista for a month or so, but then went back to much more trouble free XP.

I switched to vista for a short while but ended up installing XP again and using both. Got my newer games on vista and anything more then a year or so old on XP, seems to be less problems that way :)
