Just so I know. I have been looking for Simjunkies servers. I found 3 on GTRe. Two with closed PWD and one open PWD, but I can't get on because I get a message 'The game has been modified. I am not sure what is modified because it is marked unknown. I still haven't found what downloads I need here.

Also I see there is no rFactor or GTR2 servers. And I am not sure but if I read right, the calendar shows a race on rFactor in a few hours? I think  I am not 100% understanding this schedule thing.  

I guess the servers are only up when it is race time?

Another question VLM files you have are restricted on my computer. I was never able to run the installer. Microsoft doesn't allow it no matter what I do. When I check it out, it says that it is a unsupported file.

Erm, with regards to gtre if it comes up modified then you have not got track. check last race on calendar then follow links to forum and dowloads.

Rfactor, race is not for 2 hours or so. I had a look for server but no success so it's proably not up yet. keep refreshing. try giving marcus a PM as he will give you more info.

Cool. I just didn't know how the servers are managed here. I am use to having access 24/7.

Now I know about having servers just for race times I'll host myself a practice server. I can't practice offline. The cars don't run the same as online.

I'll try to find that track for GTRe. It's going to take a while for me to get in the grove how this site works.. Being old,  things seem more complicated

This is absolutely not true, if the simulated time is the same then there is no difference between online and offline. It could be a psychological thing I guess

You have to run those VLM installers 'as administrator' (right click on the executable, choose 'Run as Administrator')

It depends, for some leagues there is a practice server running the days before the events, for some not. You can always ask to the league manager to put up a practice server 

I find the on/offline thing to be true with rFactor but not so much with GTL or GTR2
