Finding my way home in Sim Racing:
« on: November 18, 2008, 08:22:20 am »
VHR rules!  :innocent: Well it does in my book now :yep: finding success in road racing has eluded me but since getting back in the stockers I feel a bit more at ease and competitive, after deciding that I wish to make a serious run with the VHR guy's, I asked Jeff if he could tailor me up a new suit, I can now drive the "Kings" car online without worrying about carpack this/mismatch that.
Mega Thank You Jeff! smackeroo

Kevin.

damn, looks better in your game, than it does in mine!!!

I know your heart goes round and round, and that great that it brings joy to you, and your game, Kevin.

We all have our likes and dislikes with mods, tracks, and the likes.

I love the lower HP road cars, but that is my "white Chocolate", favorite flavor.

Some like the Very FAST open wheelers.... what ever your flavor, we all just want to enjoy it, and glad you do.

Jeff

Circa 1979-80 Earnhart Sr "Ruffling some Feathers", ahh those were good days  thumbs up, Bill Elliot you say, circa 84-89 Melling/Coors "Winning Everything there is"  :yep:
I could go on with Bobby Allison #12 Coke Machine (Gold/Red) "I'm here to piss off Pearson & Petty", oohh, ok, David Pearson #21 Purolator (Red&White) "Silver Fox"  :salute: , I could go on but the fear of being shot makes me hesitate  rofl

Great Work Jeff as per your usual,  :hats off:

Kevin.

Jeff's favorite era was what I considered the first true "Changing of the Guard" when Darrell Waltrip and Dale Earnhart among others started marking their territory by pee'ing on the boots of Petty/Pearson/Allison's(Bobby & Donnie)/Baker/Yarbrough and making good on the threat's of take-over, when the new guy's at the time had the gut's to handle the cars from '79-on (they were considered very "squirrelly" handling then)
My favorite era would be the '64-'78's just because that's when I became aware of them, beef'ed up "stock cars" with little to no downforce spoilers/deflectors and somewhat "Glass" powertrains in that if you didn't take care of the equipment your day on track would be shortened considerably,(Buddy Baker is considered the winningest driver of the Daytona "400"ish, he usually blew the engine's out in the last hundred miles, but did win the '80 Daytona 500 driving a Smokey Yunick prepared Oldsmobile)
They also introduced the first restrictor "Plate" when phasing out the big-blocks starting in '72-73.
