DDT-FBMW
« on: July 05, 2007, 08:40:30 pm »
Here's a first draft...  (no pun intended!)

The background to the bio-hazard logo might look nice in yellow - that would work much better I think.

hmmm Lord B could you try importing x-file by any chance?
For some reason i cant get it to work! I can make x-file from my own models, GTL cars.. but cant
do it from rFactor scenes! grrrr!
(nice car m8 btw.. that makes me wanna change the plan from all black with finnish flag to something else.. prolly all black with couple decals.)

that looks absolutely..........feckin awesome :excited: :excited: :excited: :excited: :excited: :excited: :excited: :excellent:

can i ask for maybe 1 or 2 changes please

make the wheels the same grey as the one you've used on the car
and the ddt on the bio hazard symbol a different colour, possibly the same colour you used on the first draft of the symbol,as below, but maybe the fonts the same yello/orange you've used on symbol now.

oh,and numbered as our alfa's too please. :raver:

i drive the number #4 :gtg:  :podium:
i think sh1te drives#56 :gtg:  :podium:
and i believe ted uses #03  :gtg: :podium:

very much appreciated,

oh,by the way, what sort of anti-corrosion policy does the paintwork have,
and in the event of collision, what sort of after care service you offering?

  lol rotfl

You mean the x-file for CarViewer?

I don't use CarViewer, I use rF VehicleView, you can open up the .veh file with that and it just uses the .ddr file for the texture.  So, no extra files required.  (I attached VehicleView).

And Dave...

 - I shan't be changing the wheels, we're doing all we can to keep file sizes down, and I'm not sure but I think adding custom wheels will up the file size quite a bit.

the bio hazard symbol a different colour, possibly the same colour you used on the first draft of the symbol

 - Errrr...  I really like the yellow, I was planning on adding a couple more dashes of yellow to complete the scheme.  If you still don't like it when it's done, we'll talk!

oh,and numbered as our alfa's too please.

- I'll try, but it's a case of using numbers that aren't already used in this mod. (I was thinking of making Sh1te's #11 and Ted's #213 as all their other cars are numbered).

As for the corrosion warranty...  I have a rule, when dealing with The ShedzSh1te Consortium:

Don't Sign Nuffink!

Yeah, it's a pain to have to keep flattening the image to export to .ddr.

- But then I use 3ds max for my previews!  :oooh:

 lol

Vehicle Viewer is very handy for checking everything is as it should be after the final export though.

hmm well what i do is.. i keep the template in the vehicle folder.. what i do is.. flatten, save as DXT.. preview.. hit undo in photoshop and continue painting.. dont have to browse through paths when saving so id say it just as convenient as carviever now. :)

haha,
they haven't asked me to sign anything as of yet lol

seiously though, i have no idea how it's done, but couldn't you, say, put the numbers like #03,#4,#56 or a 0 in front?
as mentioned,i have no clue what-so-ever as to how to do stand-alones,so i may be talking out of my arse

i totally agree with you on the yellow, that's fine,it's the ddt i wanted to change colour on,nothing else, the yellow on the bio hazard symbol looks ace,but the grey font colour looks, how do i put it without upsetting you, wrong somehow. perhaps a slightly darker shade of yellow,or move it of the symbol slightly then keeping it the same colour.

Now that is a good idea!

 :yep: :) :yep:

Edit...  Dave...  The numbers will be OK I think, and I'll play with the logo colour a bit, It actually looks a bit more grey than it really is in that pic.

Third time lucky.  All the grey is now BLACK and there's one or to minor tweaks.

I've included a booty shot for Lucky Ted (The Seaman's Friend).

Here!  I just noticed my car is carrying Ted's advertising... see you in court!  Now... we could avoid this action, if you could remove all references to the Bar 'n' Grill enterprise from my vehicle, and perhaps include something relating to my interests in high quality leather goods for women!

Don't you dare!

No place for individual subsponsors. The car just looks TO good.
Ok, maybe a little sticker that falls off after the start... :hand up:
