It will be awesome to see Schumacher, Hamilton, and Vettle on the same track with Kimi as Schumachers teammate. I think this is the right move for everybody. Schumacher likes Massa and knows he will go back home after Massa is better. This way Ferrari gets Schumacher back for a little while, Massa will not have to worry about his seat being under threat because Ferrari found new talent, some of the drivers out there would want another chance (or their first chance for that matter) at racing him (Webber), and the fans get see the giant come out of retirement.

I don't really think it's right that Schumacher is going to fill in for Massa. I think Ferrari approched Michael because they want the press and the attention that it will generate. I can't think of any other reason to do it. And that's just taking advantage of Massa's misfortune. Schumacher has not been racing for close to 2 years, and he injured himself in a motorcycle crash earlier in the year. He isn't in the condition he needs to be in to race F1. He has almost a month to get in that condition, but will he be able to? I don't know that he will. I think Marc Gene would have been the correct replacement for Massa. I believe he's the spare driver, and he's race fit. He's also Spanish, so racing in Valencia would be something that he would really appreciate.

But I do agree that it will be very interesting to see Raikkonen and Schumacher driving in equal equipment. I would rather have seen that happen when Schumacher was still racing, because now it will not be fair to compare him to Kimi, but it will still be interesting. I wonder if Schumacher will get his former race engineer and race crew back, because they're Kimi's crew now.

Yes of course that would be the best in the whole thing, if its someones misfortune then it must be great, eh?
(yes im getting proper sick of people trolling about Alonso going to Ferrari, or about Schumi now destroying Kimis career)

Its not yet 100% sure.. Schumachers neck is a question mark.
Domenicali wanted to hire Fisichella.. Fisi wanted to race for Ferrari.. so thats likely if the neck aint ok.
(a whole new story that havent been mentioned here, but it would have happened without Montezemolo)

I wasn't saying it would be great it Schumacher coming back destroys Raikonnens career. I would've said the same thing if it was Massa.
I love Ferrari, and I'm a huge fan of Schumi, so I would love for him to do so well if he comes back.

Needless to say, it will be very interesting to see how he goes (if he gets the spot)with a car that obviously isn't in a class of it's own. It might see some of his best driving (like '96, 97) come out again.

I find it hard to believe that Schumacher, widely recognized as the most fit and prepared driver in the paddock, would even consider doing this if he didn't think he was able to do it at the highest level. Its not like Michael has not driven the F60 either, i'm sure he has tons of miles in that car. what i'm more curious about is if the development pace of the car picks up with Michael back in the cockpit full time. Everyone knows Schumacher was one of the best development drivers on the grid while no one knew if Massa or Kimi could develop a car.

On the other hand, Marc Gene never proved himself as a skilled race driver. In his F1 career he never could measure up to his weak teammates.

I'm curious if having Schumacher as his teammate will wake Raikkonen up. When Kimi is on, he is incredibly fast, but when he is off, he is just average.

after all his a treu legends. 7 time world champion ,very strong reputation
and now a comeback after 3 years out ,very nice

but i hope that he doing well and not messup his strong career
after all ferrari have very strong competitors

Well if anyone knows Ferrari its got to be Schumacher he's driven them enough think its a good business move for Ferrari as he is on the payroll, anyway how fortunate for them to have a built in backup driver so to speak. Glad to hear Massa will recover from his injuries but it will take a long time I think before he will drive again. Unless he decides he's had enough and retires, might not be a bad choice with the injuries he sustained what bad luck.
