Renault World Series. Part Two
« on: September 15, 2006, 03:10:32 pm »
Here we go with day 2.

It was a wet and misty start. I almost broke out the waterproofs.

Hammering down the Dunlop straight.

Grass Tracking anyone?

We moved down to the Fogarty Esses for this shot.

It appears Messrs. Scaife and Lazenby are setting up in competition with Ted.

Well it doesn't get much closer than this.

Next was the Melbourne Hairpin.

....which was no less exciting.

This guy was on a mission.

Into the braking zone for the Hairpin.

Break out the MANPERS!! ;D

Back at our favourite place and the Old Hairpin is still claiming victims.

Now is he going to have a go?

Yep, I think he is.

Whoops! That damn hairpin again.

This one manages to escape unscathed.

"Nuts" he may be but my namesake "Rivett" gets a 3rd place podium in this race. YAAAY!! ;D

The collection wouldn't be complete without Alonso's championship winning F1 car.

The usual suspects.

I have refrained from naming our little group so as not to spoil DRokK's competition  ;D

I hope you have enjoyed this last set of pics, with the possible exception of the last two :D

Excellent set as ever Riv :)

Of course... by not naming names, the bloke sitting with the bag of wine between his feet remains anonymous ... cunning... :)
