Fota has finally given the

to Bernie and Mosley and now F1 is going to be alot of no name teams and Williams. The 8 current Fota meambers are setting up a rival championship. Bernie is going to sue the hell out of them, who knows where they are going to race (hey, Silverstone is going be open!). Maybe us north american guys will get a race or two, but shit, it will not be F1. This scares me because we all remember the CART/IRL war, this reminds me alot of it.

I wonder what the track contracts say. They may say that they can't hold a race for competing series. Then we'd get a bunch of new tracks like Brno, Brands, Mugello, Magny, Silverstone, maybe Montreal, and one in the US like Road America!

As it stands, F1 will be no more the ultimate series.. Im bit scared, but at the same time pretty excited about it.. all i can do is hope, the finns will be racing in an interesting series.

Well, we will see lots of races. F1 with new teams and PS ( PirateSeries or so

). think the PS got the better teams and drivers. Sponsors stay behind this plans

however, bad day for the F1 sport but good day for the fans. prices to watch the races live will be cheaper

I think it all will end up in yet another season with current F1 teams and regulations and Max Mosley leaving (get sacked from) his position at FIA.

Seriously I think Bernie will still be there and Max taking the back door exit. Bernie has a too deep commercial interest having bought the F1 commercial rights for a period of 100 years to have this slip out of his hands.

In fact it starts to look like the new series is going to happen.. Raikkonen mentioned that about nothing will change, but most likely teams will run 3 cars in the series.
I think the teams planning the series allready are very determined, it means a big deal to them tbh.. a huge thing and propably quite bit more appealing than continuing with FIA..
and because there are so many teams behind this, its very hard to see them dropping it.. The more i think about the new series.. the more i wanna see it happen!

It's sad to have a breakaway series, but thruth is that the FIA is leaded by the same people for so many years and that those people so badly want to remain their power and push trough their own ideas that it's becoming very annoying. So it's time for a change, which apparantly is not possible from within the FIA, so then it has to be without the FIA

The idea of running 3 cars a team is interesting, maybe they could agree that one of the drivers needs to be a 'rookie' (driver with a max. amount of X race starts)

Yes, I think it won't end up as it did in the US. Can't Bertelsmann com in and replace Bernie? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bertelsmann The wiki makes no mention of F1, but I thought they had a controlling interest. Maybe I'm wrong.

Heres a funny fact:

If the teams make their own series, FIA has no option but to help run the series (its some deal with european comission apparently, that FIA has to offer to do that with any new starting series if they are asked to).. in a rather large degree also..

From the swedish press it looks like peace is back and the teams are now in for next season. It seems like there will be a limit on team spending based on some passed years spendings. And Max Mosley have announced he will not be on the list of candidates for FIA president at the next election (that is what I called "taking the back door exit" earlier).
