If he didnt think he can go fast he wouldnt be doing it. It will be nice to see his lap times compared to Kimis

yes, but how pissed off will kimi be if schumi is faster than him in his first time in the car,on slciks with no traction control and no launch control. can't wait, whatever people say about schumi, i like him, he's an A1 driver.

Schumacher has always struck me as being the modern day Blue Max.... aristoctratic, hateful in some respects, but totally at home with his machine... without mercy.
It's a little like Rocky VII, tickets will sell like hot cakes to see if the old gladiator can whip the young pretenders :)

What drama to keep us all interested over the summer break.  They said the shops are actually padlocked for two weeks, and the two more weeks till the next race.

Had to be Bernie's idea, Max isn't that creative.

/and tell me how Michael hasn't turned a wheel in the F1~2999 at Fiorano again, I lol 'd at that!   :excited:

Well, he is out from the hospital on monday and apparently doesnt need any special care anymore.. but its still bit unlikely that Massa would make such quick comeback.

No official statement by Renault yet, but I guess we'll have another rookie in Valencia.

He sure is speaking his mind, good for him. (would YOU buy a carpet from Flavio?....)
I never was impressed by his drive in F1 but I also know NOTHING about fair chances given and such.
Good luck Nelson.  :hats off:

In all honesty.. in 2 seasons Nelson did nothing but unimpress all the time.. team wants their both drivers to bring points..
enough said.

Alonso wanted a crap team mate that wouldn't be faster than him they way Hamilton was at McLaren.  I think that's the reason Renault dropped Kovalainen and picked up Piquet Jr.  I think Piquet Jr has done exactly what Alonso wanted.

Hey, on WindTunnel last night, they said that the consipracy was that FIA (controlled by Ferrari) had only put the penalty on Alonso so that he could fill in for Massa should the need arise.  Arise it did, but Schumacher said yes, so Renault will win the appeal.

You heard it here first, or second or something...

What's the difference between having Kovalainen or Piquet Jr as teammate for Alonso...

Kovalainen is probably a bit quicker.

A bit probably, but certainly not enough to unsettle Alonso.

I wonder who'll be Alonso's teammate for the remainder of the season

The rumors say Romain Grosjean from GP2 will be considered.

I wonder if Piquet Sr. making noise about buying Sauber had influence on the Renault decision?

Hah, daddy is going to buy his kid a ride for life! Also I think Kovalainen is a good deal faster than Piquet, I think the only reason why he dose not give Hamilton a run for his money more is because McLaren is Hamiltons team, he always gets the newest parts first, and last season he got the favored strategy. I do not think he is as fast as Hamilton, but far more closer than has been shown, and that would have been a problem for Alonso if he were his teammate.

Nothing factual, just my $.02

That's exactly the same 'excuse' as Piquet jr uses, Andy.  :)
