BMW quitting F1..

Its likely anyway. They have a press conference today in couple hours, retirement from F1 expected.

F1 never stops being a mess this year. Right when they were going to have to sign the new concord agreement, they decide this instead.   :fingers crossed: this announcement is not what we think it will be.

this is not a huge shock, they majorly messed up this year and probably saw that they were so far behind the curve now it would take years to catch up. I think the era of factory F1 teams is nearing an end too. F1 might be returning to it's roots, the private team.

FOTA teams have announced they will help the BMW team continue, of course it wont be BMW, and nothing is certain at this point..
Epsilon Euskadi allready indicated their interest in the one free spot, if the BMW team wont continue in any form.

dam f1   I am finding it very boring again.. all this internal fighting, teams dropping out. And huge amounts of money being wasted and i still fall asleep watching it  :sulk:   lets go karting hehe

i think kubica has proven he can drive with a good car under him, it would be nice to see him drive for another team, they need to et rid of some dead wood in f1, the ones who consistently can't make the top 15 in qualifying, depsite having the same cars as their team-mates.

I see what you did there Andy :)

I think I'm fortunate in that I'm not an F1 'nut', I take it for what it is and kind of enjoy the soap opera machinations that are going on.
Don't string me up purists, I enjoy the weekends a lot, but I can enjoy the theatre off track almost as much as the spectacle on track.
