I was sort of expecting some kind of BS like that to develop.  I thought it would have been some kind of crap about team orders that would get the Ferrari's dq'd... but this fuel business is even more clever.

No penalty for Williams or BMW, so Kimi is the champion... for now... McLaren are going to try to appeal the decision.

Ah dont feel bad about whatever. I am sure everyone is seeing that Lewis is a very good driver and that is all that counts. No matter who I ask everyone nods their head to that.

I dont think Mclarens appeal makes any difference, since the race officials have no data proof whatsoever.. Anyway it should be obvious that its the last final attempt to interfere championship (first time this fuel temperature issue, the very teams needed to bring Lewis up to championship), who knows for what reasons.
Im happy for Kimi, he has really earned finally to win the champ.. Lewis will have his changes, just gotta hope Mclarens didnt peak at their performance and reliability this year. (could be lesser car next year, with all the changes etc.)

first off i think the championship should stand as it is  i don't want Hamilton to have this seasons championship added to his name not with all the shit thats gone on

BUT ya can't blame McLaren for wanting to take this further they been shit on by the FIA all season where other teams have been let off

like Damon Hill has said

Quote
"It does get quite difficult to see where the consistency lies,"

"If you go back to the beginning of the season, McLaren's argument is that Ferrari won the very first race using a device which was later found to be illegal by the FIA.

"They removed it but the result stood.

yet Ferrari accuse McLaren of intellectual espionage verdict all constructors points removed and massive fine

the Brazilian race Hamilton pulled into stewards as there was a problem with tire usage in pre practice run  verdict loose set of tires team fined

then 2 teams are found to possibly have cooled the fuel during the race more than is allowed which everybody knows gives a team an advantage and it is does explain the comments during the race at the surprise as to how well those 2 teams where going  and nothing is done ......there must have been something to make the stewards look at it

so i would imagine the only reason for the appeal by McLaren is that the 2 teams should be done.....all constructors points lost and fined :?: :?: this should not effect the drivers or the positions as it has already been done that way in the past

to me it just makes F1 look stupid they doing nothing about it

If the McLaren appeal goes ahead (is the stewards' decision appealable anyway? Wasn't Alonso's penalty in Hungary non-appealable?) and are successful ... they still have to contend with Article 168 of the International Sporting Code...

"The stewards of the meeting shall declare the resulting amendment in the placings and awards, and they shall decide whether the next competitor should be moved up in the classification."

Yeah well.. Those 3 cars gaining a 1second! advantage wouldnt have made any difference whatsoever to the final result, or to championship. Im sure it cant be taken away.. Or if it is theres no other explanation except favoritism.. especially since there is no data proof, only talk and only blaming cars that would make lewis up enough on field (not even the second williams that was lower on the field is accused.. only the one in front of Lewis!)
I dont believe one second that the final champ result changes.

Well, I think as far as the championship outcome is concerned, it's down the how the stewards rule, even in the case of a successful McLaren appeal. So far it seems the stewards are inclined to let the results stand. Subsequently, it seems likely they'd choose to not promote Hamilton, even if they did strip Nick, Nico & Robert's points.

That said, I expect McLaren probably will pursue the appeal since, even if they can't get Hamilton the title, they may still be able to disrupt the 2008 budgets for BMW & Williams, which may be worthwhile considering they're on the back foot after losing their points this year. They'll want/need any advantage they can get.

There is way to much BullShit  moo in F1 this year. I only hope it's enough for them to give Mad Max Mosely the boot :squash:

Openly stating that he says the drivers are more importaint than the cars is disgusting. Max is sorely mistaken. This isn't fucking Nascar. If Max truely believes that the fans only care about the drivers, then the FIA should buy 22 VW Beetles, and call that F1 and see how many watch.

Of course i already know the answer, No One!

BTW, Congrats to Kimi, i bet there were many drunk Finn's lastnight

I doubt we'll see Max leave any time soon ... remember, he actually did resign and the WMC (or whoever) within the FIA cried and begged him to please come back.

The whole thing was of course a stunt, engineered by Max to reassert his dominance in the organization.

That said, his power does apparently have some limits, considering McLaren was still in the drivers' championship. I believe that contradiction was down to a WMC vote (Bernie's residual influence?).

Between the pair of them, they are making F1 look like more of a Circus than it was already.

F1 should be about the cars, drivers, and teams. Not what the big 2(Berney and MaxyTw*t) think should be done with teams that might have broken rules......Don't mention the flexi wing on the Ferrari in the first race  :nose:
