Pit Stop in Single Races

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this. But I've only ever ran sprints so far so I'm wondering for the longer "Single" races that are 30-60 mins, is a pitstop mandatory in these races? And will it be similar for all games or is each one very different from one another?  I can't get home to race during the week so hopefully I'll be able to join you guys again next weekend. Alfatina was a blast.  :toast:

You have to look at the laps for each race and the fuel multipliers.
Then go run the track and determine if you need to stop or not.
Tires could always come into play as well, you may or may not need tires when you pit for fuel.

Make sure you set the pitstops to manual, as there have been a couple of nasty accidents in the pits due to the AI racer not looking out for other racers and the guy on manual beeing damaged and all sorts of stuff, since we are all on manual, none of those incidents we've had before have happend ever again, the occasional missing of the pitspace did however cause some anoyancy, but that makes the racing even more fun and carefull.

Thanks Stein and Bob. Yeah don't worry i've already got my PLR rigged for manual pits.  Hopefully I'll be able to get a bit more time behind the wheel soon to test all this stuff out.
