3 lap Race @ bathurst
« on: July 14, 2006, 11:45:39 am »
I know this is not a video section but i wasnt sure where to put it...

I really enjoyed racing the elan's @ dijon plus i recently got the new MMM bathurst track. I really wanted to have some good racing but only about 10 people were on multiplayer so i decided to try a single race with some AI.

I put the AI on professional and wacked them upto 30 guys. Started last with the goal to get as high up the order as i could without taking any AI out and trying to race aggresive yet keep the contact to a bare minimum. I find this is great practise for racing online as the AI in this game is good enough to practise with, you can become much more comfortable racing with other cars around plus it helps you setup passes and also judge clossing distances and timeing. Fighting your way up the grid is exciting and definetly fun. Plus the fact that i loved this car and track made this a fun race for me. Unfortantly i didnt save the race replay as i ran bathurst again and forgot to rename the file :(, so all i have is my 65mb Vid that i made. (I made it to show some non GTL mates of mine what the AI is like).

Hope you guys enjoy

BTW this bathurst is extremely realistic! Great fun.

theyre held up by advertisements.. so probbly a couple of cookies like trackers and stuff will have been sent to yer computer without you knowing..

i was formally subscribed to Pestpatrol and now to SpywareDoctor.. seems to find more then spybot and.. it costs 30 bucks a year..

But i must honestly say.. pestpatrol was less anoying.. when i turn on spywaredoctor.. the logo floats on top of the desktop for near a minute.. and theyre that good that they can have an update about every freakin day...

So everytime i turn it on.. i get to update at least 4 files.. and sometimes have to reboot...  and THAT is quite anoying.. if it where just runnin in the background..eventually popping its' head up.. fine.. but now.. purely anoying..  but it's keeping the pcdoctor out.. lmao

Yeah, I think you're right Frank.. nothing to get freaked about.
I ran Ad-aware and it found some malarky, but I haven't done a clean for some time and the kids d/l all kinds of flasing, noisy crap on this machine... unlike there dad who just hangs himself off a wheel shaped piece of plastic screaming profanities at flashy, noisy things on the screen :)

'preciate the heads up

Great vid Fryz. Good to see you're saying it's an accurate version of Bathurst 'cos it looks to me like it's been lifted straight out of ToCA Race Driver 3.
Once I've learned how to record from PS2 to DVD I'll put up a 3 lapper of Bathurst using V8 Supercars for a comparison.

That AI looks a bit easy! either that or you're just bloomin good O0

Got me right in the mood for watching the race tonight!!!!

Thanks mate!, the best bathurst is now ORSM bathurst for the V8mod in rfactor.

The AI was set to professional @ 100%.

No probs mate. I'd love to see a vid of that version to see how it compares. I got Decoypig playing ToCA today and he confirmed that the version you are using in GTL has been taken straight out of TRD3, the only difference is the adverts.

He gave me a good laugh trying to get around in a Corvette Sunray. He even rollled it LOL. V8 Supercars around Laguna Seca was even funnier.

LOL
Someone has saved me the effort this is a replay from Bathurst on a PS2 withth the setup as standard, the tyres in stock will be too soft for a comparison to the real life lap times but check the simillarities with Fryz's version.
