Pit stopping
« on: August 17, 2009, 09:27:38 pm »
Okay, so before I turned off the autopit. I suck at overshooting the pit space though. hahahaa.

so, the guys in STCC told me autopit is acceptable in this as the cars "fade" and pass through each other. so I tried it.

um, okay, so it WORKS, except I get a stop and go for speeding on EVERY pitstop then get another while doing THAT stop 'n go!!

 so...um...

Do you guys use autopit or not? can't see it myself, unless it works better online?

the reason for your stop and go is simply that u brake to late.

i do so:

practice the pitstop and check when the limiter gos on automatically. remember that point and try to brake the car to this point and use the limiter then. and don´t turn the limiter off, it gos automatically off if u leave the pit ;)

i don´t use autopit aslong few add ons got probs with it

I saw on Speedgeezers a post saying you had to slow down "before the white line". So, before I leave the tracks?

Just tried it and worked and yeah, was using the GTL mod and the car wouldn't restart. Kept stalling even with the clutch down until I put it in neutral.

also with autopit off just before trying the above I had 2 stop n gos and was like "Jesus, I was CRAWLING!!" like under 20 mph.

Okay, so I'll turn it back off and practice some more tomorrow. Thanks Brother. and yeah, I usually don't slow down until I'm actually off the track so, that was doing it?
