Power And Glory
« on: December 28, 2008, 08:35:54 am »
I tought I should post up something for the guys that not quite know what P&G is all about.

You guys all know GT Legends, also know as GTL.
Simbins grand title using old racing cars, making tons of fun for us to race.

P&G is based on the same models and idea, but the BIG difference between the two things is this.
Simbins GTL is about Old cars as they are raced TODAY... Better brakes, tires, exhaust and so on.

P&G is about the cars as they where back in the days, crappy overheating brakes, wobbly tires and overheating engines. This is how the cars are supposed to be, how they where designed to race.

I find that P&G is better than GTL, that is my personal thought on it.
It is NOT a mod, it is a whole new game inside GTR2.  Try taking these beauties around VLM Le Man 1977 at night...... Feel the wind in your hair while speeding down the straight in a Corvette roadster, or smell the nostalgica in a GT40 Gulf.

However you choos to use these cars, you are bound to have a good time.
These cars got me back to racing.

Thank you Aristotelis, for having many of us in og beta.
Thank you GTL Workshop for everything in this pack.

Keep up the sweet work.

You are exactly right.  While I haven't been able to try out the final 2.0 release because of my lost online code, I did get to test a number of the betas.  There is nothing that compares with the quality of Power and Glory.  The attention to detail is supreme!  I wish I could show you the number of threads relating to the beta testing we got to do here.  There were countless times where something was brought up, and the reply was that "this is how the car was raced".  There has been a tremendous amount of research put into Power and Glory.

I know mods can drive people away.  I hate installing anything 'extra' into my game with the exception of tracks.  However the Power and Glory Mod is not a mod in the traditional sense.  These guys went above and beyond anything EVER done for a game 'mod'.

I encourage anyone hesitating to give Power and Glory a try to get over their apprehension, and just do it.  If you love classic cars, you will NOT be sorry you did.
