First impression by driving a 1600 GTA (same one as in GTL) around Magny-Cours: Quite a nice game with a good manual, but the cars aren't much different against GTL imo. GTR2 crashed after 20 minutes of driving, but I don't have an official version (yet) so that could be the reason  :?: Rain effects are a nice addition compared to GTL.
However, I need to evaluate this game further when I have some more time.

It's got the new "Rivet Seal of Approval", of course it's worth it  rotfl

Seriously though, as Jarkko says the GTL physics are supposed to be as the cars are now for the Historic racing events, and they're waaaay off even for that.

The P&G physics represent the cars as they were at the time and whilst they can't be perfect, they are a lot more realistic and believable. It's very different to GTL and that's good. The differences show up more in some cars than others and even the mini's are fun now and I never thought I'd say that!

well,
i d/l'd it
did the patch thingies
loaded the game
tried the porsche,which i hate
tried the triumph
tried the jag mk2 4.2

AND I LOVE IT  :excited:

now this is how GTL should have been, very playable now, with the added bonus of extra tweaking in the set-ups

can we have a fun run with this please,it's renewed my enthusiasm for GTL, i haven't tried  all the cars,or the weather effects yet,but it works a treat and the cars drive superb.

well worth it.

the Rivet Seal Of Approval

is absolutely spot on.

Hmm not sure what I think really,it feels a little unpolished, almost like GTL but with new sounds.
Some annoying little things such as no needles in one of the e-types.
The sounds/handling though are a big improvement.
The models not so.

Done only maybe a hour on this, and must admit im really struggling, i just don't seem to be able to find a set up that works for me, admittedly, i have only tried the Alpha and the Arbarth but no matter how i set them up, i cant do a FULL fast lap. (cant even do a bloody steady lap  :grrr:) Will keep persevering but its starting to annoy me now  :bye:
:ted:
PS:Dont all shout 'Cheat' at once, but i drive using hood cam, which doesn't work in this mod (only the bonnet is visible, no wings and a gap between the windscreen and bonnet that i can see the road through) hope its sorted soon

Ey, Ted...  thought you used cheat bonnet view to preserve frame rates when you were playing on an Atari ST.

Now you've got a decent pc, for gawds sake drive it from the driving seat!

No, mate.  No leagues running with this mod.

We're just testing it at the moment.

Hey Ted (cheat),
You can adjust the FOV by holding down the Ctrl key/left mouse button and moving the mouse forward or back. At least it will help to allign the bonnet so you don't get the gap.
