Power and Glory Mod released

As far as I can tell from hidden discussions this mod is as legal as most we race in rFactor.  You must own both GTL and GTR2 to use it.

A link to the GTL workshop site.

For support you can also view the P&G board on RSC.

Jarkko, do you care to contact them and offer a mirror for downloads, and also request their permission to host the file for our members.  Or should we late for a later release?

Ooh arr...  I bloody loves it, I does!

The only thing bothering me was:  The ffb felt great, but there wasn't enough of it.  Then I noticed my in-game ffb level was set on 'Low' (for some weird reason).  Cranked that up, and Bob's yer uncle.

If they can sort out the very serious multiplayer bugs we seemed to be getting, then this is as good as we've all been hoping it would be.

 :) :) :)

- That vid Jarkko posted pretty much sums up the experience!

I had no clue that this mod was in the works.  The guys that put it together deserver some serious accolades.  These are the guys I want building the next race sim.

How the hell could I have missed this.

Fantastic! Sounds, feel, everything spot on.  o:
For those with a G25, try driving with shifter, clutch, blip throttle yourself and be AMAZED! The only one I drove so far is the E-type lightweight. Incredible. Wooohooo!

Didn't really get chance to try this last night. However like a lamb i followed the others and did the FFB patcher and just got an Error 52 message ' Bad file name', so im not sure if its changed anything yet, :?: The steering felt awful before i did the patch, so i will check if it set my FFB is set to 'low' like Lord B's  i also did the terrain patch (Baaa) but haven't had chance to fire up the game since, and as i didn't really drive it before i patched it, i was wondering if some one can tell me what it changed  :?:
Also Dave raised a question i had not thought about, Does using the PLR Patcher affect the way GTR2 will drive  :?:
Questions, Questions, Questions  :?:
Cheers Fellas

Yep, It alters your .plr file, but from the readme file, it looks like the patch doesn't do too much, anyway.

I'm going to try INSTG8Rs settings and see how those go, but since I increased my ingame FFB level, it feels great.

 :)

:salute: Thanks Ian, i will put my original PLR(INSTG8Rs ) back and look at the level settings. Now, what about the terrain patch  :?: (still, that has a 'Restore' button, so i can check that myself)

Again...  not too sure, but I think the terrain patch might be this:

Quote
---------------------------------------------------------
   Sand trap modification for leagues
---------------------------------------------------------
Sand traps in GTR2 are made in a way to stop the original and very powerfull GT cars. Unfortunately this means that some of our slower cars can get stuck in sand traps. We think it's realistic, but for leagues we understand it might be usefull to have sand traps with less friction. This program modifies the sand traps friction and permits less powerfull cars to be able to exit them. Carefull, it causes mismatches on servers without the fix installed.A backup is always created.

(From the readme)
