NA League for P&G
« on: January 19, 2009, 03:47:40 am »
Hi all!

Does anyone have the ability to host a P&G league for the NA time slot?   Perhaps on Monday nights or Thursday nights?  Or maybe a weekly fun run?

I could put up a server, but it would be painfully weak, w/ only a 256k conn.   thumbs down

P&G seems like a great sim, but after having the game loaded for 3 weeks, I have yet to be able to make a race due to work schedule.   :(

Does anybody else in NA have any interest in racing, during the week, in these sweeeeeet sleds?

Vampire wings are all well and good, but calling in sick to make the Friday early afternoon race is, well, suicidal in this economy, he he.  Or is that the definition of a sim junkie?!?!?   :sj:

I can provide a server if one is wanted on the State side.  My wife is using my old worn out POS.  It is just running on board graphics now, but I've got it working well enough to surf the web and be a basic use ding dong.  It has done wonders to keep her off 'my' pc.  I bet it could serve a new, and second purpose as a game server.  My upload is only 2MB though.

Or we can simply set up the game server.  Either way.

I'd love a NA P&G league as well. I was thinking about using P&G after NASJ GTR2 Season 5, but now that Thursday is open, this could be a possibility. However, someone else would have to organize this NASJ P&G league. I'll gladly help out with setting up the server and things like that.

Well, nothing went down last night, but ski and I, in addition to solving all the world's problems, have decided that, tonight, we are going to commandier (sp) the SJ P&G server!! *   :o

Aaarrgh Mateys!!   NA Pirates unite!!  Ramming Speed!  Prepare to be boarded!!   AaarrrrrRRR!   :rotfl:   :excellent:

We were thinking of boarding her tonight around 9pm Pacific    :toker:

The server looks like it's setup as follows:

*That is, if it's ok with Kristof     :om:

Do you mean you are going to use the P&G dedicated running on the SJ server on another time (more suited to NA) than we run it for the ESJ race?
(Sorry for the stupid question, but 'American' English ain't my native language lol)

We were hoping, with your blessing, to use it tonight.  We promise to bring her home before midnight, untouched. :)

Rocky-  Thanks for the offer.  What would be involved in organizing something like this?  How much computer power, dsl, or other  intangibles would be required?

I would be up for PnG NA also, the later at night the better works for me (actually any time after 10pm EST, Monday or Thurs).  I've been playing with PnG on my cheap computer....and I must say that it is a huge improvement over GTL. The physics are really well done.

i can host if you need a host.

i have a machine that is used only for PnG2 and GTL servers.

i did want to race in some PnG2 SJ leagues also.  i am in the GTL NAGTL League, and want to race whatever else is being raced in PnG2, i just hadn't found the threads yet.

Rocky, people will come Rocky. They'll come to PnG for reasons they can't even fathom. They'll turn up at your race series not knowing for sure why they're doing it. They'll arrive at your track as innocent as children, longing for the past. Of course, we won't mind if you look around, you'll say. It's only $20 per person.

I would try to make the races, but I would hope we still run a GTR2 or Evo league.

I would love and attend p&g, as I've said,  thumbs up

but I agree with Andy, there is something to enjoy in the new machinery as well.    ;)
