Model Viewer for Evo/race07 ?
« on: April 28, 2009, 12:56:33 pm »
Started last night working a carpack for the new GTR-Evo/Race07 series as we signed a new sponsorship deal for next season and the financial commitment of the sponsor needs us to change the car designs  :D

Is there a little tool like for Rfactor where I can actually preview skins I am working on without having to restart Evo all the time to have a look.

Its especially annoying to me at later stages where I might have to do minor adjustments

Yeah, Jarkko's right...  I don't think there are specific models for Evo but it can be done with vehicle viewer using the ripped rFactor mod - of course we don't condone such an activity!

 :innocent:

I don't think you have to restart Evo though, I seem to remember you can update your textures with the game running.

Yes it updates.

OR you can get.. buy of course.. Photoshop CS4 and use a plugin to paint directly on 3d models......

Lord B will guide ya.

i just leave evo running, select you car, then alt tab, make adjustments, alt tab back, choose another car then back to your car and hey presto  (as long as you save by overwriting the file its all good)

actually I got a full version of PS CS4, pays off to have worked a while for Adobe :P

But only got the ACE for the CS1 version and didn't know I could paint on models now. Will check that tonight.

Thanks for all the advise :)

I think you're better off painting on 2d templates to be honest.
