Is there a way I can get to a ballet lesson instead of this. I am not quite sure if I can still purchase it, maybe.

Thanks!

Had to edit a little, cannot have such on forum. -Drunken Pred

Ah yes of course!

I haven't practiced though......thank God the others cars can't be hit by me.
Pretty nackered already after practicing OSJ a lot just now.

Just to make sure, what are the steps to take to get in tonight?

And then we all run stage by stage together right?

Caspar.  :)

carpacks are free of choice.

Ok..

1.Start ventrilo.
2.Launch RSRBR4.exe
3.Select carpack and "normal" mod.
4.click install and leave it running.
5.Launch lobby.exe.
6.Join the game.

Yep thats correct, when people are in the game everyone click "ready" and i just start the game. It loads the game with the correct stage.. then after stage just everyone hit esc and choose "back to rbrnet" and were back in the server screen. :)

Ok this was great fun!

Scores and times:

here

I didnt include the export from RBRNET since its bloody ugly and everyone in the race can do that themselves.

Cool.. i made lot of mistakes and drove bad but it was ok.
They are listed as "stage1" etc. on the results but they are in same order as in the first announcement post.

Well this was a bloody great idea to get up n running and i had much fun doing this.
Of course since this was the first time we ran this there had to be problems.
Never have i seen the lobby for this game be down or even out of touchm but yesterday that did of course happen. So i managed finally to enter when it was 10 min or so past our scheduled start and never practised at all the hour before race as i normally do, so it took me 3-4 stages before i got up to pase.
I was gaining many seconds to Caspar on the remaining stages but not enough to make up all the time i lost from the first couple of stages.

The mistake of going to fast and crash is definately your biggest enemy, and can easily be avoided if you are going slower than you normally would. You will then also get much better stage times even though you feel you drive slow. Just keep the car on track and you are fine.

I really look forward to the next rally and this time i will come prepared. Promise.

To all who wonder about gettin this, or joining. There is no doubt at all.
This is no Colin Mcrae arcade so you might find it damn hard if you never have driven this before. But the feeling you get when you finally get it right is soooooo much more.

Yes there is downloads for this if you wanna get online, close to 1 gb it is, but it is fast(normally) and if you do it right as Jarkko has explained in the tread here
 http://www.simjunkies.org/Forum/index.php?topic=5608.0
you should get it just the way you want it.
You get tons of extra cars and they are all(almost anyway) great to drive if you find the feel for them. No i have not tested them all, there are A LOT of them.

Ok, anyway. if you like rally you cannot go wrong.
And yiiiihaaa what a league.

First of all, thanks a LOT to Jarkko who is becoming a real 'Giz' !
His enthousiastic initiative and  wonderful calm explanations and tutorials, also on vent on how to get to the pot of gold is HIGHLY appreciated!

I had a lot of fun last night and hope to join more races.
Practice is needed because I managed to finish Rallye school and a full season but I am a completel baby in this SO different way of driving.
Not knowing where the next turn will go and blindly trust the navigator and hoping some rallye style turn negotiation will work this time is VERY exciting and very different than the lap by lap rhythm I get on tarmac race tracks.

The ghostcars, so you can see all your opponents, are a bit to bright but having just the name tags buzz arround you is very motivating and adds massively to the fun of rallye driving!

Dive right in baby, the water is fine!

Caspar.

I got a handbrake turn on the mountain roads of France right and wet myself....

Thanks for the praise boys..
Im having great fun with this.. and even when its for fun, for me there is a LOT of national pride to do well!
I just HAVE to win in this one.. lol
Still enjoying though, it was so exiting after i had horrible run.. and had to catch up Riv a lot on every stage.. it was so great knowing i really have to push and every mistake from now on could ruin the win.. amazing!
Theres so big element of surprise since error is so easy to make.. when all of the boys find their pace bit more (im sure it will happen), simply anyone can win!

Talk about national pride. I to have alot of national pride hanging on my shoulders here and i will be up to speed the next time. hopefully we will not have any problems connecting then.

When all are a bit more trained in this, it will be so competitive.
