Looks awesome!!!  :)

Just some questions and comments:

Are we again using the gentlemen agreement for choosing a car?
I see that quali starts at 8:30am GMT, last season it started at 8:00am GMT. Can we stick with what we did last season? That 1/2 an hour makes a huge difference for me, but I am not an OSJer, so it is up to you guys.
The schedule looks like it will be nice with the weather and I like the rules, I think it will be a great season!
Also, Chrysler is spelled wrong. lol

I don't think I will take the Viper again, I wanna drive something different. lol I think either a Saleen or a Corvette.  thumbs up

I think everybody can choose what he wishs...if you like it more difficult then choose a slower a car...the only thing i don`t want to see is
a 550 with a driver named Justin or Rocky per example...but i hope some will take the 550...maybe some of our drivers who can`t practice much but want to be quick.

I remembered all the discussions for our LeMans Enduro as i tried change the race-start...Some OSJer had problems with an earlier start...
Then theere was the wish to make it possible for all late-joiners to join the qualy in last minute...otherwise there was the wish (and it`s neccessary for the weather-simulation) to have a warm-up...but you can`t join anymore when you`re in warm-up---
So i thought it would be a good idea to shift the race-start a bit to make it possible for some OSJer...

But when you can`t join now i would realy be  :(

Also i like to see a big JUSTIN vs. RoCKY battle this year,,,with both on the track at the same time...

Maybe we can discuss the race-start time...it`s still 2 weeks before season starts...i have no problem with any start-time because it`s morning for me...shifting 1-2 hours up and down is  thumbs up

Also, Chrysler is spelled wrong. lol

 :grrr:  fixed!  :tut:

I will definitely drive a GT-car which i haven`t driven in a season so far...and i don`t like to sit in a right-seater or in a claustrophobic car...
so i have to choose the 575, because i think the 550 is maybe also not allowed for me... ;)

Please have a look at the announcement...tracks will be added today.

Cu
Frank

Thanks for answering all of my questions Frank! But you didn't answer Dammit's. lol I also want to know the answer to his question. Will the weather be set for the track we are at?
Yeah, I won't take a 550, I am going to stick with an American car. :)
About the start time, I was just bringing it up because it seemed that last season start time was fine for most or everyone, but like I said I am not an OSJer. :)
And for the record, Justin is way faster than me! But yes, I hope we can make more of the same races.

 :innocent:

Ups...the NAW-Mod has data from all default-tracks plus generaly weather-zones like continental or middle easter...

As we`re are using this season new addon tracks and none (except the joker-race) of the default tracks the weather will be adjusted to the default-track which is nearly in the same region...per example for the NORISRING we will set the Mod to HOCKENHEIM.

If a default track fits not good we will choose a General region which fits to the location...

 :hats off:

Ok...i will make another poll for the Race-start time...the majority will decide...but warm-up has to happen...watch out for the poll.. :salute:

Should be able to make these... I can't lie in bed knowing these baby's are being raced round a track somewhere. When you want a lie in at the weekend after working all week it never happens so why not race...   thumbs up think i'll take the 575, 19 car.

I'm still torn between the heavy Fez and the Jag V12. I'm going to do the Spa 2.4hr in the L I S T E R for sure as it handles so well around there. The Fez was good in testing for Laguna, but the Listy could be a ball of fun over the corkscrew and around the back. Oooooo decisions. :can of worms:

Nodnerb, that's easy mate - the Fez 550, but you'll be mocked and taunted for the entire season. The Lister and Vette are very economical, but lack outright speed and handling unless you like it twitchy. The Viper will out drag everything but you need a tanker following you. The 575 & Lambo are about in the middle, good pace, good handling, average economy. Saleen and Masser are dark horses at some tracks especially if it flows like Spa but both need the Viper's tanker. So in the end it's down to the driver with the exception of the 550, it makes anyone look good.

I've decided to go back to my beloved L I S T E R. I did some testing at the corkscrew last night and she's a fun handful.

Thanks Candy, K'd for saving me all of the hard work thumbs up

Had steered away from the 550 simply because I had seen it being excluded for some people and felt that a win in it would be a hollow one.

I've narrowed down my next season car to the saleen, maserati or lister. I took each car for a quick spin around laguna and still undecided. Although I'm slightly leaning towards the Maserati because I find it the most exciting car to drive.

Weird thing. I go a sec or two quicker than any other car (including 550), in the Maserati :?:. It has a cool sounding engine & it feel's most controlable when it's out of control , if you know what I mean  :lag:

Leaning toward the Mazzy chocks away

I think it comes down to which car suits best to a driving style...for example i had big problems with the Viper last season...it suited not my kind of driving...i remember also in the season before we had to drive every car only once and so we had to go through all the strengths and weaknesses from the cars...
I remember well having huge problems with coming up to speed at Silverstone88...until i tried the first time the Maserati...what a great turning car...i was directly a second quicker without adjusting much at the setup.
But it`s also a question how a car suits to the track...

All very difficult but maybe similar to the reality...choose you car wisely...

Most of the tracks we will driving are already in the download-area here at Simjunkies...so maybe have all a try here or there to find the best car for you....

For me was clear:

Viper  :nope: already driven a whole season

Lambo  :nope: already driven a whole season

Corvette  :nope: already driven a whole season

Saleen  :nope: don`t like it, especially the claustrophobic onboard view with no mirrors

Maserati   :nope: don`t like it, especially the claustrophobic onboard view with no mirrors

Lister  :nope: can`t drive a car where you sit on the right side

F550  :nope: not allowed for me

F575  :yep: i think this was the last one...hope i can challenge Justin a bit more with that

With Australia and NZ being RH driving nations, the British cars are perfect for us.

I should think the same thing, esp as I drive for a living, but the Lister just seems backward or whatever you want to call it simple as all other cars are LH drives. Also, as I have never raced on any tracks outside of NZ IRL, I only have "the feel" of these tracks from a RH POV... just my 2?

Good pick mate...it has surely some weaknesses on straights and it isn`t the fastest car, but it handles great, forgiving and is fun to drive...and maybe you can drive on some tracks with only one stop...

Would be realy cool if you join the OSJ-League...good competition here, and some of the guys you will already know from the ESJ-league...Jack, Ray and Mario per example
