Well, considering we have done the TC-65's and the GTC65's in our unique handicap format I think the next series should be a 76 series along the same lines.
Your thoughts?

:yep: if it aint broke don't fix it, 76ers in the same format, please

The only thing I might add is the start time, would an hour later suit anyone better??  It's no biggie for me, so if it works against Casper/Steiny or the NA guys that are starting to turn up, I'm happy with the GMT+13

Depending on the start time i may be able to make these races now.

However im not driving a 914.

So what would that leave me with?

Ever since a certain race @ Laguna Seca i dont like the escort either lol.

Sounds like a plan to me!
I forgot that we didn't do 76's in this format yet, cool. thumbs up

Starting an hour later would definitely make it better for me in winter time difference, but it's an Oceanic league, so I will try to adapt as usual if it's no good for you guys.

Car for Dion?
Somehow he's nowhere this season so he can drive a faster car than the 914 next time round.  :) Cole can have that one!  :ner ner:
Little Pantera? Little Capri? Little champion before we even start? haha.
Escorts in short races are safe I think Dion.

Wonder what that would give me too.  :?:
I'd be outclassed with a 914 although I love the drive of that little one.(shut up C.!)

With the different versions of Capris, Bmws, Porsches, Vettes and Escorts it will work out fine.

I guess trial runs are due any time soon, yummy!
And some new tracks would be nice too.(very fine choice this season by the way!!!!)

Caspar.

Both cars have the same problem: the redline comes way to early  lol

Does a GT40 beat a 914? id rather a GT40 then a 914 if it came to that.

To a point I agree if it ain't broke don't fix it - I doubt there is anyone out there who would say this concept doesn't work.

However at great risk to a terrible smiting, I have a few ideas to throw in the hat - but I am just one, I'm more than happy to go with the flow.

What are the thoughts on the following proposal for each race weekend:

1 x sprint race same cars at a GTL default track - points going to main championship (15min Qualy)

1 x sprint race at same default track, using BMW mod - points to go to BMW Cup (similar idea to Porshe Cup we run last '76 season) no Qualy - use the "fastest finger" concept as per Alfatina cup

1 x 'feature' race in our season cars at one of the many add-on tracks with 15 min Qualy - points to main championship.

The main reason for my madness - I don't have either/both the skill or the time to learn a new track in two cars.  By using the old favourites for 2 shorter races (Donny / Monza / Magny etc...) the practice time will be reduced.  Also the default / more well known tracks will generate some closer racing in the single make races....

Also don't forget we will be going back to GMT +12 during the season.....

Any of those really,I need to do some testing.
Thats a great idea Azza but the thought of doing 2 points tables not so great,my time is limited these days as it is.
I think for this next season we will stick with the tried and true but next season lets hook in to something completetly different.
Unfortunately I dont think the handicap will work quite as well with these cars, with only the one being really noticeably slower.
We shall see however.

 :salute: fair enough mate.

I really have no idea of the different pros and cons for these cars - some testing methinks before I decide.......and we could always put the really fast guys in a '65.....  :innocent:

My personal experience

Pantera
Capri
906
911
BMW
Escort
914

Slow Pantera / Capri and Vette im not sure as ive barely driven those.

Is quite a difference between a Capri and a BMW though but then again you will find that the limit is harder to reach in a TC76 cars. So even though a guy may be in a capri because of the cars difficuilty to drive in the 1st place he might not be best able to use that advantage.

I think i have to drive BMW...I have some setups for this car and it`s quite easy to drive although it seems not to be one of the fastest car.
But it`s easier to drive this safe as to drive with a beast when you have not enough time to practice for every race...

Whats my chances of getting an Escort or BMW?
Probably the same as Riv getting a Corvette.
Maybe i should take a GT40 haha, would be one insane ride.

I rather go with the 76's.
But adding one or two very fast GTC65 might be a very good plan.
Testing I say.  :yep:

I wouldn't mind driving my own 911 though.  :tut:

Buggered if I know what to drive but I'll drive a 914  :puke: if Casper will too  :abso-bloody-lutely:  :ner ner:

I started OSJ league in an Escort , might be nice to see how the eskie goes, now Ive done  few laps of a couple of tracks :)Be nice to stick with a Ford V8 power car like Ive drove for the last two seasons too maybe's ,but I'm not fussy (cept for 914) :)

Nothing really just keep an eye on the forum and choose a challenging car to drive as your season car.
I was thinking about doing a few 1 hour races this season?
We will have a break of a couple of weeks to do some testing.
