You pick the cars, you pick the tracks.
« on: August 25, 2007, 06:01:20 pm »
Getting geared up for this fall's series.  I am going to make these races, and hope more will come out to play.  Right now I'm thinking we'll run on Saturday night.  Around 8 or nine PM Pacific Coast time.  (Is that too late for our east coast brothers?)  Trying to squeeze the Oceanic boys into this.  The bigger grid, the better. :)

So everyone who is going to compete pick one car, and one track.  We'll try to squeeze them all in.  As long as the tracks are known to be stable.  But I'm not opposed to trying some new asphalt.

My first choice would have been Mini's at Brands Hatch GP, but since someone already suggested a Mini race, then I'll go with Ferrari 275 GTB @ Zandvoort

Edit: wait... do the tracks have to be North American?  I noticed everyone elses track choices are in NA.

I'm not partial, but some of the other may be. lol  I suppose we could do the odd trip to the Netherlands if the rest are okay with it. :)

Really? This league is gonna run on Saturday night? Well..that counts me out. I go to a lot of college football games on Saturday and that will not work. I thought it would be during the week.

Is there anyway I can help run a league during the week for anyone in the USA that can't run on Saturday nights? I would help anyway I can.

If I'm thinking straight (a doubtful proposition) 8 pm Saturday in California is 3 pm Sunday in Oamaru.

If that is correct I'm in.

Arbaths at Dijon Short.

Or the mighty AC Cobra at Mosport.

I'm looking forward to racing with you all.

This is also about 1 pm Sunday for the Aussies.

More for the mix.

Soon we'll be having the Trans-Pacific Cup.

Any links to other Pacific Rim Country GTL leagues?

We could all meet up in Hawaii for the Championship Lan.....

Oops, sorry, dreaming again.

Jett, yes you can run one during the week.  If you like :)  Sorry Saturday doesn't work for you my friend.  I guess I got lucky, because all my college teams games start early this year.

As for the rest, I'll have the schedule up this week.  We'll have the first race on September 15th.

Would a little bit later start time help you out Jett?

Hi Marcus, how do I sign up for saturday events? I dont really care what car or track, Organizer picks track and class, 1 week prep time for all, I just want to race in supported venues, I`ll most likely bring up the rear for a little while longer but look forward to the fun competition here at SJ.

take care, Kevin

Kevin, pick a track and car combo mate.  We've got room in the schedule!  I had to come up with some, and I'm no good at that. lol  So make a pick please!

I want to make sure as many race in this series as possible.  Please vote in the poll.

Ok Marcus, how about Abarths at A-1Ring with add-on skins allowed, lots of room for passing and slow enough for everyone to break their gas pedals, let alone make it endurance run so pitting would be necessary.

We can do add-on skins if we have the final car pack by then. :)  Shouldn't be a problem as I can move it to your pick to the end of the season.  However we do have one Abarth race already.  We can run another, but I wanted to ask if there was a car not already on the schedule you'd like to drive.
