NASJ Winter 2008 GT-Legends Season-Proposed Schedule
« on: January 02, 2008, 12:05:33 am »
Hey guys,

Here is a proposed schedule for our upcoming season. Please give it a look and comment on what you think. I tried to incorporate some of the thoughts from the interest check thread into the schedule but still work within the limitations of the game and the overall casual approach we like to take towards racing here at SJ. The day and time schedule will remain the same as it seems to accommodate the most at this point. Nothing is set in stone of course, and we can tweak things as we go along if needed.

Giz has graciously offered his services to maintain the points table and replay loading again this season. For that we are very grateful!  thumbs up

So let's rev 'em up and get out on track!  chocks away

3.) Points structure is the same as season 3.
4.) The SJ carpack is required to participate.
5.) All SJ members, friends, and applicants are welcome to join.
6.) The non-league password will be used.
7.) For all races when a choice of car is given, you must remain with the
car you chose when first coming onto the server to race. No leaving server
and coming back in after seeing the practice lap times!
This will be on the honor system, and no penalties other than peer pressure
will exist. My hope is that this will reward drivers some advantage who have
put in the time to test the combo ahead of time.

Well, I must say that looks fantastic.  A lot of time and effort obviously went into planning that, and it will surely pay off with some entertaining events.  I'm looking forward to it!

Count on me :salute:

very interesting schedule and rules

but...

Trois-Riviere is a fantastic track but realy low frame rate and
many laggy sectors on old machine like mine... and if i remember
Virginia is problematic to

I agree for some handicaps, fun for everybody!

CU on the track

Thanks for input Cobra. I didn't have problems with those tracks on my machine, but Trois especially I worry from past races there. We can definitely substitute with other tracks.  :)

if we decide to change something i propose:

- Zandvoort 67
- Spa 67
both with big blocks

- St-Jovite north
with some tc-65

Definitely will test these out. I originally intended on using St. Jovite instead of Trois, but Trois is so lovely to drive.........
Too bad about the frames.  :grrr:

Thanks again Cobra!  :salute:

I agree Trois Riv is absolutely lovely to drive, but St. Jovite North would definitely be a worthy replacement if frame rates are an issue.  I'm not a huge fan of St Jovite GP, but the North layout is excellent.

Yes! st-Jovite NORTH is really more convivial than long version, we did race here in P-916, we had a great race. But the monster T1
is still there :excellent:

Oh, that sucks George.  Well hopefully you can get back up and running sooner rather than later.

Do we need to do anything special about the Mercedes Physics Fix?

Please notice the location change for round #5 posted in events. Virginia Tantra had frame rate problems, so we are moving the event to Belgium based on suggestions last night.  :)
