oooh simracing isn't a game any more, I'll let the wife know...

"I'm not playing games anymore love, this is motorsport,".

hmm, yeah, I can really see her accepting that...

The one big problem that I'm noticing with the press release and the article I linked to earlier is that they're focused on the track.  The thing that makes the mods in rFactor is the cars mostly.  If you have a sucky car on a great track, it's still a sucky experience.

How can it be motorspost when there is no motor involved?

The one thing I don't like about this is that you have to pay yearly to play. I own rFactor, GTL, GTR2 and some others that I don't ever have to pay for again... nuff said from me :)

"A physics engine is a complex system of mathematical functions that replicates those motion-producing forces to create a three-dimensional sphere of existence, a virtual world that behaves like the real world."

Another soon to be favorite Quote by Iracing... i guess they are re-writing the dictionary. it replicates.. but still doesn't move .. does it?!@

It's like Simracing is a MOTORsport.. ill read a bit more on the iracing site.. and maybe enter a top 10 of favorite quotes.... which basically means nothing more then just seeing with what uninteresting nuesance those ppl came up with for filling the site up and trying to blow the mayority of Autoracing yokels off theyre socks.. the more they read the more confused/impressed theyll get and buy it..

for the unbelievers.. there's threads like this one isn't there?!

I guess I'll wait and see the finished product before deciding what to do :?:
Hopefully there'll be a valid reason for such a high monthly fee otherwise  :bang:

The "Legends" and "Modified" racing looks really cool to me. i wish there were more screen shots... they seem kinda snooty about it not being a video game. i may try it for a month but i wanna wait till they have more info and trailers for the "game".

I think that's jst it Punky .. they are touting it as a 'Trainer' for up and coming racing teams ... just how daft do they think we are?
The only thing I know is that I am so insulted by their marketing that I wouldn't even torrent it ..

if its just for the live racing teams then they should put away their money grubbing hands and not offer it to the public or enthusiasts of racing sim GAMES... like us!

I think there may be a dark echelon of enthusiasts (and it's getting up time so excuse me if this is disjointed), who will pay for "The Best" sim if it promises candy ... for me, still far too much to explore in our current crop.

Well.. i guess a months subscription couldn't hurt.... but ahem.. not beeing a marketeer or anything:

1.000.000 x $20...... in my books is still $20.000.000 gross income...

which means .. ehr.. with only the amount of ppl of this  community trying it theyll still make enough money to buy off Pete's insulted feeling.
