4 We started putting out a bit of seed for the odd lorakeet and inherited a flock of local cockatoos. One befriended me and prefered to sit on my shoulder even if I didnt have food. After many a hard days work I would get a bucket of seed, put a big line on the concrete path and sit on the lawn amongst them while they ate, some would even let me pat them. They often walked around (and over) me, taisting clothing, feet and fingers as they went and were a great source of amusement. If we wearnt out there fast enough to feed them they would tap on the windows or drop things out of the gutters to get our attention. The most we ever counted at one time was 64. And they are the only thing I will miss about living in that house...
