All this soeech of Gods and such. Thank God I'm not religious....
Though many moons ago I said Dale Sr was God.....ll
Lost interest in NASCAR after his death. But makes sense as i was more a Dale Earnhardt fan then a NASCAR fan. Funny how that happened as I was a Fordguy and started out mocking the 03. But then over time, the pure magic os what that driver could do! Plus he drove like I do attitude wise.

Get outa the way OR ELSE!! I've always disdained celebrities, and when one of them passes away could care less normaly. But when Dale died, I actually felt numb. It was very strange. I hadn't even been following him for quite some time at that point, (Missed the winning of the 500 unfortunately, that sucked-still haven't seen it.) yet I was at work when the news came and it just stopped me in my tracks. Weird.
That and it was such a NOTHING accident!! After watching Dale roll over another car at Texas one year, stick it in reverse whilst on his roof!!And stil have the sense of what was around him to gun it backwards outa the way of the oncoming cars and THEN later drive the remains of the car back to the pits and conntinue on!! And then this little nothing incident and he's dead? Just floored me.
I DID see Jr i a race in passing one day. They were saying he was fined $50 000 for a pitlane incident then showed it. personally I saw nothing wrong with it. I understood the other driver messed with him on track and then watched him "drive through" the jerk in the pitlane spinning him around. MY take was "He's his Father's son!!" when I watched that. Just seemed such a Dale Sr thing. hahahahaaaa. But i was never able to get back into it. NSCAR seems to lobotomized and comercialized now, too much the WWF of racing. But it did do me proud to see Dale Jr has a bit of the old school balls out driver i him.
