Hey Everyone
« on: May 19, 2009, 09:31:24 am »
Hey guys

Just to introduce myself my name's Michael. I'm a 25 y/old factory worker living in western Sydney, Australia. I've been playing racing games since I was a kid (does anyone remember Indy 500 by microprose?) and I've been racing online since early last year (or maybe late to year before.  :dunno:), first on XGN and then at Race Department. A fellow racer put me onto Simjunkies (so blame him) and I'm looking forward to racing with you guys in Race 07/GTR Evo and maybe GTL (have to dust that one off).

Welcome to Simjunkies Michael.  :hats off:

The site is new, and we're still unpacking.  So if you get looking for something that can't be found, let us know.

Yes...  chances are we can't find it either.  Probably in one of those boxes Pete put in the garage!

Welcome mate.

Hey, hey, great to see you here Michael, you will love it here and I'm pretty sure the guys here will love you too.
Well, except for most of us that now have to be content with having another fast driver up front of us.  :D

I don't believe this anymore.
Warren just wants us to think he knows the whole southern hemisphere!

Welcome Michael, sure hope to meet you in GTL, it's pretty alive here at Simjunkies.  :excited:
You're welcome in the ESJ (Europe) league but there is the OSJ, oceanic league too of course.
Hell, you can race GTL as much as you want , NASJ (N-American) , Alfatina (superb boozracin' on Friday night GMT)
Just browse through the forum front page and you'll find it.
If not, I can always assist you.  :twit:

Good point. I'm must be thinking for Geoff Crammond's Grand Prix. I'm losing my memory in my old age.

And I'm just generally shamefull.... but feel free to be ashamed of me.  thumbs up

Well answered sir!

I think my love for "simming" started with Grand Prix circuits on the C64.. then as the first Pc's with 8 and 16 mhz came to.. i think on the 16 mhz it was the Indy500 game that was so bloody innovative.. i bought a joystick to go round the corners smoother.. at one point i'd rack up the cars i'd totaled and could anihalate a field of racers within 3 laps.  ahem.. that was then  :occupied:   then Geoff Grammond indeed came round the corner with my beloved GP1 to 3... but number 3 scared me off.. did some Indycar2 in between.. and ehr.. then there was this big gap. Toca2 perhaps?   I guess all the titles i've mentioned you grew up with...

and you beeing an old twat at 25... hahahaha.. Funny... 33 here.

Hope to meet you on track and vent soon

That's awesome that you did the Indy500 by Microprose.  I think you might have me by one year or so, as my virgin game was WorldCircuit.  Anyway, they were both dos games and we both learned a lot over the years.  Welcome to SJ, I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Cheers,
Steve  :blue rinse:
