hey guys, just found this part of the forum....since I'm new here's an intro:

I've been a big fan of slotcar racing ever since I was a kid...but space issues have them & the track boxed up more often than not.....when GTL came out I was blown away, I really dig '60's sportscars, and the vintage style tracks especially ( my first obsession with a racing game was GPL, but back then my PC was barely able to run it...how specs have improved, LOL, the eyecandy we get now is stellar in comparison.... )

so I got a wheel, drove a bit, then got absorbed into modding the cars...this is quite time consuming...I don't have a lot of free time so I have projects that have taken years...and they're still not done...argh!!

now after a long time figuring out how model/texture & get stuff into the game, I want to focus on DRIVING again

I've been racing with the great guys at SSR, as well as Gamers Crib, NoGrip, and now I'd be honoured to be involved with your group as well

had a look around the site: am impressed with the way things are run here at SJ, seems to be a great community... looking forward to racing with everybody: tonight I did a GTC76 race at sebring & it was a lot of fun: great clean competitive racing!!

hopefully there will be more of the same!!

Hahahaha.. was wondering when your introduction would come past! and a great one at that.

The boys are very fond of your liveries that's for sure, and you've just answered my question behind the scenes:

" SO the boy can Paint, but can he race!"

hahahaha.. Welcome Ummagumma, there WILL be more of that going around.... as the idea of this place is to come up with a clean and healthy place to put in some races, if there's anyone substandard in gentlemenly behaviour we go straight to the top, or just tell him/her that they are shite and they need to improve. usually works, sometimes rubs... but in the end ... well.. you've just been witness to that.

Anyways, again, welcome Umma!

Canuck invasion? well.. someone needs to stop the missiles in the SDI-project, right?

might as well send in some Canucks for that.. as us Dutchies are too busy walking on Dykes in our Cloggs to our windmills.

At least it's not the other way around.. our Dykes walking around... they just lay there and act as a barrier.. the other thing for Dykes.. well.. it didn't come from here i recon! (neither from Canada i bet.. allthough.. you do like poking fun at the southern neighbours, right?

Welcome. Hmm, finally some Ontarians even!! (To the rest of the world, it don't make us neighbours as it takes TWO DAYS to drive across Ontario alone....)More Canadians to stem the onslaught of Ozzies...

As for Canadian Dykes, well. Not my fault. Toronto IS after all the city that actually advertised itself as "As gay as it gets" Same guy that did that one now wants to promote us as a business/financial base. Hmmm. Me thinks the man is confused.......

yup. We like poking fun at our southern Cousins. Even made a show (Due South) that on the surface was Americans poking fun at us, but if you were Canadian and got the "in jokes" was quite the opposite. Pure genius.

Canada, where we watch TV/Movies, say "I know him/her" and are quite serious.

Not quite yet. But busy busy busy getting our igloos ready. New coat of paint and all that. fatten the sled dogs up, eat any extra before we gotta feed 'em all winter. Hiring pilots so when we cut our winter wood we have someone to pilot.

Ya know. Normal stuff. And of course water proofing our PCs so the condensation off the igloo roof don't damage them.

i had checked googlygoo already Denty, just wondering who'd come up with what... never thought you'd fall for the unknowing steiny (ehr.. i mean the unknowing internet) At first i thought the name was a famous racer of some sort... did the google.. coffee... first though.. brazil.. not canada... so it's basically the canadian version of Starbucks, almost the same sort of advertising (at least, feels like it...)

Thank god we have "real" coffeeshops over here.... (and real ones over here as well.. hahaha.. )

Actually. I wouldn't equate them with Starbucks. We have The Second Cup and Timothy's for that. Horton's is a more down to earth doughnut shop. The other three is for the pretentious types that buy $5.00+ "coffee".

And MiLady and I don't deal with Starbucks at all as it's an American company. Well, that and they have crap coffee...

Tim Horton was some hockey player. He was famous for drinking Vodka whilst on painkillers and leading the cops on a 150 mph plus chase in the snow in his Pantera and wiped himself out.
