Who's our resident Ventrilo expert?
« on: May 03, 2009, 08:07:34 am »
Is there someone here willing to combine all the ventrilo tips laying about into one useful Ventrilo FAQ/Configuration guide?  It will be given a lovely page with your picture on the new site.  8-O

I think we might have your picture kicking around.  You can have it on the tutorial or on the front page.  Your choice.  lol

 :rotfl:  That'll be fun!

I could never have the Style and Finesse that Alan can display though.... i'm still just a garbageman with too many thoughts running through my mind... HA.. got ya!... just grabbed another thought.. but clearly off topic.. i'll post it elsewhere.

I might start with somewhat of an Instructionscript to try and get around to setting ventrilo up, entering the connectioninformations, tuning the mic, tuning the speakers, outbound inbound, cheating on the wife, soundsettings, testmodus... unticking the damned "play key clicks" ehr.. what else..

Glad you like it - these new smileys are a lot of work though - so they'll be few and far between...  but I bet we're the only forum with 24fps smileys!

When on Ventrilo, some guys come in loud & clear, even over the engine sounds.  Others are barely audible once the engines start roaring.  I turned the music completely off but i like to have engine & tires for reference while driving.  Is there a way to 'compress' all the Vent inputs so that they are all the same?

Yep, you can right click on the channel title, >miscellaneous > special effects and activate the compressor. That should help level out the various volumes of that channel. :)
