I am looking into your hardware to try n figure out why the frames are so low on your PC in rFactor m8.
First. P4 CPU. even though it is a big P4 it still, from what I can tell, is a single core and a bit outdated. Correct me if I am wrong here, but I had a P4 3.0 GHZ 1,5 years ago before I switched to 2.6 GHZ E6750 Core 2 Duo.
Now, rFactor should still work quite good with this, but have a full grid with high settings still aint going to do well.
Memory is fast enough and the amount should be sufficiant. Unless you are running Vista, wich is shit on memory and uses to much even to run normal.
GFX. the ATI x1900. I dunno if it is 256 or 500MB, but still, it is and semi old card. My last card was a x1950 pro 256 in combo with the P4 3.00GHZ CPU and even though I ran rFactor on maxed out settings, I had to really turn things down depending on the mod and how many cars.
I still have to say that I find your extreme low frames a bit puzzling. But I dunno what settings you had on.
The most important things is to maybe set down oponent cars settings. And have fewer visible cars. Turn off mirrors, atleast on starts.
Lemme know how things work and where you are taking the worst impact.
About the F3 race. The mod is NOT that hard on the PC and the 1988 tracks by.Carrera4 is some of the better tracks comes framewise.
