Saleen Mustang SE Challenge Mod
« on: December 01, 2007, 09:26:35 pm »
Saleen Mustang SE Challenge Mod Version 1.0 for GTR2 by scca1981 is on the no-grip website and its really well done..except for the sound. Seems that needs some attention ..but the cars look and feel great.

I was wondering if it was my sound card or install, but yeah these Muskrats are good fun and the paint looks really good, I like the Budweiser or Fosters best, for reasons I wont admit.

But they drive like shit from a shovel!

Thanks for the nice introduction at Vampire's!

And indeed Bill, 1.46 was possible at Imola.  chocks away
I rose to the challenge time and time again until I beat Mitchell's time and then Alarmedbread came in and smashed the 1.47.000 and got 1.46.8.
Couldn't have that of course so with the last effort got a 1.46.405.
Probably highly illegal. I aimed to keep 2 wheels on the tarmac but it didn't happen. lol

NICE MOD!!!!!!!!

Caspar

PS
Nice setup by Bill, I changed 6th and 5th gear one click down and coast two clicks down, very nice!  :yep:

I like this mod!   thumbs up

I think the cars handle well, and the sound seems OK to my ears.  :)  I tried Bill's setups too, but still didn't get outta the 1:50's.  I guess that shows why I'm a "back O' the pack" qualifier + a midpack finisher, even on my BEST days.   lol

 :hats off:

edit: typo fixed.   ;)

I agree. Great mod but the sounds need work. Something is amiss, especially when down shifting. But the cars are so freakin beautiful and fun, who cares.

 I wonder if the thing you miss on downshifting is the "POP/BANG" that you get with burning fuel exiting the exhaust.   :?:

What I'M hearing on downshifting is more like the muffled rumble you'd expect from the street version of the 'Stang.   ;)

I thought it was the upshifts...

Car just goes dead between gears with autoclutch.

Yea ,no probs was just getting to tired, was late.

Yea only things i can gripe about are a few sound tweaks and maybe someone will remove the 2 feet of pipe hanging out either side of the car  lol :)

:toker:

p.s. Yea welcome to Cas and the Mallanders for joining the Vamp party and seeing what were all about in the coffin.

For those of you that haven't found this link, I re-Vamp-ed the sounds and you can dl it and take it for a spin.... You will need to make a back up of your Version 2.0 .aud file in the Mustang folder in Teams.....
