On the first day of Christmas.....I downloaded the NSU mod that was merrily mentioned by some SJ friends the last few weeks.

It's ABSOLUTELY GREAT!

Of course one would expect it to fit in TC65 class but it's way to fast!
Not that I mind though. :biggrin:

Did an AI race at Mas du Clos 2006:
PB; 1.29.357 (Alpine PB after a LOT of practice; 1.29.9)

Then an AI race at Goodwood where comparing to other cars is even easier since I have mucho track time there with a mixed field of TC65 and GTC-65, .
PB; 1.24.004
(Ferrari 275; 1.24.762
Alpine: 1.25.762
Alfa; 1.27.201)

The NSU drives very well on default setup already.
I think the wider tyres are responsible for it's high cornering speed.

Not sure from which year the NSU TTS originates, perhaps anotherreason for it to be so fast?

We might need some skins though.....and I KNOW we have the people for that.

While driving I thought; wouldn't it be nice to make a season with only mods? I think it would be fantastic!
NSU, Corolla, DB4, 250SWB, etc.

Yes. It is rather nice.

I also accidently combined one with the sounds and powertrain from the 935 mod.....Heeheehee.

Truth is though, I've hardly had time to play with it. Or the "normal" one. And I've had the NSU since it was released! I keep forgetting about it.

I mean, this pic at Laguna was like a month ago!

It's nice to see so much stuff still coming out for GTL though.

Actually, the sounds are the normal sounds. I forgot to change the aud direction in the carfile. I'll post new stuff when I decide to have the patience to deal with YouTube again.

So, I had to scrap the whole project. I think the "normal" TTs are interfering with the modded ones and I haven't figured how to isolate them.

I DO still have an idea for a "Monster TT" but will wait for my new PC and new install to do it. Maybe not use the 935 for the horsey power but I do kinda like the over the top sounds..

I have however used the 935 sounds on the orange TT only and it's a hoot. Heeheehee.

I never noticed before as I attributed it to the crappy quality of my recording.
I'm not sure anymore as it DID work and I notice that's the red car so maybe I changed something since. I dunno.

But I know this is how it sounds WITH the 935 sounds. Though I still can't hear the blowoff on the video...

One thging I discovered about the game version now that I don't have to use the "virtual mirror" is the rear view mirror is um, "mirrored". I couldn't for a minute figure how the guy behind was passing on the left when I was against the wall....then he passed on the right....OOOOH!!! Hahahahaaa.
