For any other Mini freaks out there, I just found this addon / mod at No Grip

It adds a new Mini Class to TC-65 Class, and they look great in the game. I did a few laps around Goodwood to see how it drove, and it was brilliant. Handles superbly and much more like a real Mini IMO (since I own the real thing).

Hmmmn! Did a bit more testing.
They look brilliant, they feel great to drive, but I think they may have overdone the horses a bit. I went onto Zolder to see how the lap times compared with my recent RSC GTL League Race, and quickly did a 1.53.7 sec lap. That would have given me pole for the event and was about 4 secs quicker than my default Mini time. Still, would be great for some off-line racing or maybe a special single class on-line event. Geez, in this thing I would be giving the Falcons and Alfa's a fright.

Hey Warren......Have hade a cooper s with 1300 engine 2 webers and some goddies a couple of years ago and that was like driving a formula1 car.....scary thing but fun..... :biggrin:

quick though, I matched my alfatina laptime at goodwood, and with more setup time/fiddling I could crack at least anothe 2-3 seconds outta it...

Crikey! I would love to drive this Mini in one of the GTL TC65 League Rounds, just to see how competitive it could be. It handles like a true brick, revs out further than the default Mini, and I average about 3 secs a lap quicker in it.
Best of all, have a look at these screenshots, hard to believe it is GTL. Just goes to prove what can still be done with this fairly old game.

PS: That was a 1.35.0 sec lap around Dijon GP in practice mode and default setup. :biggrin:

I think we can definitely run some events with this car. Loving the two wheel action in your pic!

Maybe we could try and have a race with these a week from Sunday? Anyone interested? If so we could try and get some other sites/drivers involved.

I'd offer to drive sooner, but I had to order a new GTL disk. Mine is nowhere to be found.

Gotta love having a less than two year old. He can open the DVD drive, but he wont tell you what he did with the disk.

Just did a happy 1.36.2 in the Falcon at Dijon, so yes, you WOULD frighten me, hahaha!

Small update news.
Reading the forum over there (buggered if I'll ever post there again but I'll keep reading), looks like the modders are working on an updated version of the 1310 Mini. I think they are getting the message that maybe it is a bit too quick compared to the other TC-65 cars in the game. This could get even better.

I think it is a combination of a number of things:
Lighter, weight balance moved forward, extra diff ratio, modified gear ratios, changed suspension, and increased the maximum revs.
Not only is the speed improved but also the handling, but it is now at least 4 to 6 secs quicker per lap at most tracks, making it potentially the quickest car in the TC-65 catagory, which I love but don't really think is realistic.
