Well, I finally tracked down a copy of the GTR2 w/GTL bundle last night. I always be a retro racing guy, having 1st cut my racing sm iteeth in GPL, but I've got to say - man is GTR2 a heckuva nice racing game!
Anyhow...on to my questions. I've only started practicing with the Cooper S and the Cortina in GTL. I've noticed that the breaking seems very off in the default setup. The rest of the setup actually seems quite good, and after only a minimal amount of camber and spring tweaking, my O/M/I and I/M/O temps seemed good for both sets of wheels.
What I'm wondering about is what type of differentials are featured in those cars. I've noticed that the power/coast ramp angles look to be tweakable, so are they supposed to feature limited-slip differentials?
The other question I have is; I noticed there's no control over the number of diff clutches, so am I correct to assume these 2 cars, or all cars in GTL for that matter, only have 1 diff clutch?
The reason I ask is because back in my GPL days I remember a nice tweak where you could achieve pseudo ABS on rear wheels by setting the coast ramp angle low and using 4 or more clutches. That worked really well and helped a lot with corner entry breaking. I'm hoping the same can be achieved in GTL, but with no diff clutch control I'm doubtful.
BTW I wasn't sure if this is the righ forum to post this type of question, so please let me know if it isn't.
