About new GTL sounds

Just popped my mind, that not necessary all of you have realised you can get the addon car sounds to all of our standalones too. Theres a file in the cars folder that is meant to indicate which sounds the car use, all you need to do.. is copy this file in to all folders for certain car type.
For example after installing Alfa sounds, there comes a file called "AlfaGTAsounds.aud" in one of the Alfa folders (cant remember car number), just copy and paste to all other Alfas folders..

Those are all i use, i tried some 911 sounds but didnt like, im not sure who did it.
but the main rule is i think that anything from those two guys kick ass.

Thanks for the heads up, downloading now!  :excited:

Also, there's the "brighter headlights" add on which is pretty cool
And the whiter tire smoke.  Both of these are very small, so I'll attach them here.

Wow these sounds make quite a bit of difference especially the tire squeals and stuff like that, cheers guys.

I mentioned an Elan sound mod that I'd had, which was a vast improvement. 

After much hunting, I've discovered Duc Freak has withdrawn this one for copyright reasons (it was based on the rFactor Trainers) so it's no longer available.  That would explain why I've not been able to find it anywhere!  Seems I don't have it on my HD any more, either.

They came out a while back  -  and I really recommend them,  they sound awesome!   

Im not fussed on his Shelby Daytona sounds though  -  they were a bit quiet at normal volume and to get the best from them you had to turn your car sound up while turning down the other cars  -  not the best.

Some of the sounds were good though,  so I hacked some of the GT40 sounds in with the shelby ones and made a set I use for the falcon.   At the high revs the GT40 goes to, it wasnt quite right just using its sounds on the falcon  -  even though its a 289 V8 as well.

I wish someone would do a sound set for the BMW -  the default sounds are naff.  I tried shifting some GTR2 sounds across,  but need to do a bit of research to get them to work properly.

I swear my Alfa is a good 50kph faster simply due to sounding like a proper race car now...  lol
