See Thru Elan???

Just a quick little question.... I seem to not have interior showing in the Elan, when viewing from outside the car...???

Has anyone else had this problem?

I am working on a small set for the car, but it looks silly with no interior textures. The .gtl files are all there, and so are the .dds files?

Help Please.

Have you painted the interior? ifso, id suspect you have an alpha channel saved that makes the interior transparrent, either that or you saved it as a dxt5 with alpha instead of DXT1 - no alpha. The latter is what I did and I couldnt see my skin. Changed the dds format it saved in and it was fine.

Might be old news, Jeff, but he interior textures - as viewed from outside (if you see what I mean) appear on the 'body1' template - are they still intact?  I'm wondering if you maybe made the Photoshop layer with the dashboard on invisible or something..?

Yeah, all are there, and no transparent layers, there is a  cockpit.gtl file and an ultracockpit as well, but that only has the window banner in it. The body1 is the body template, and that appears fine, as you see in the picture... I am lost.

nope, used the  number 623 .car file from RSP downloads.

Well well.. i really dont know then! few things to test:

1.Convert a .car file from a working addon car and see if it works.
2.Try a texture file from different addon car and see if its the same.

I sometimes save accidentally in wrong texture format and that caused various very odd things to the cars occasionally.

DXT3 is not suggested to use at all in the cars.. wonder where you got that info?
DXT1 or DXT1 with 1 bit alpha for body. (depending if there is alpha channel required or not) lol
