Pork for breakfast.
« on: August 23, 2009, 01:52:43 pm »
I been a busy Denty this morning. Couldn't sleep as usual so been up since 3:30am and watched a couple movies while finishing off a few GTL cars. Mainly finishing a couple and also converting some from GTL-GTR2 back to GTL....

What got me motivated this time was all the Porsches on the ESJ league's schedule. Thought maybe I should finish mine. So, here they are.....

...and another RSR. The whaletail one was a BEAR to do. Kept crashing to desktop. GRR! Took me hours to get it done and finally ended up reskinning my 930 and adapting it to work.

Well, a part of your cars are rather personal I'd say. I mean the ones with your typical paint sheme. However the 917 and the black 935 are pretty nice imo.

heehee. I tend to think all race car liveries are personal to the team that runs them.

Well, I rather mean that some liveries will probably be 'popular' by a select few, while others will be loved by many. (hope that makes mare sense lol)

 Yeah.

Now THIS one is "personal" lol as it's "my" car.

Just finished it and it also features clevy911's VDO speedo and tach.

 Now to go practice Istanbul......

Hey Caspar, did you get my email? I sent you the 935 as an attachment. Hope it made it.

Been hammering it around Istanbul. Or more accurately istanbull around me....

Barely cracked 3 minutes at first!! (I never really drove this car before.)

Tried an online setup or so but semed to always spin anyways even without braking, managed 2:50s......eventually 2:46s...when I could get around....lol

I tried a different set up and even with 2 spins (First one, AI RSR punted me off the track as I slowed for a corner.) managed faster then anything so far. COOL, 2:33. Finally managed a 2:28.157 and yeah you guys will massacre me but I'm happy with being able to at least get FASTER each time...lol

I'm also happy cause I was barefoot and couldn't heel & toe at all. Just "goosing" it as i went into 2nd gear. lol

Eyes are burning and gumming up now so off to bed. Tomorrow I'll try it a bit more seriously, wear my driving shoesys.

 Get some rest Caspar.

Why the strange skin?
I don't get the joke!
You are not serious enough.
You have to rethink how you want to use your time, because this is not the way.

Okay. I seem to have a Pork addiction this week...lol

I was thinking earlier after doing some research on The Netherlands that i wanted to do a "Flag/country" car. I seem to have developed a habit of theming a set this way. Ironic as I'm anti-politcal. But there ya go.

So, iI was thinking this but when I do these cars, I believe it or not, need to kind of go into a "zone" and work from there. I try to "think" that countries flag, coat of arms, etc and go from there.

Anyways, I wasn't in a state of mind to commit to that level today and decided to do a 911RSR for Caspar.

Hope you like it Cas. Download's on my site but since you been having trouble accessing it recently I'll email you a copy.

Oh, and to make it a bit "special", it has clevy911's guage set.

Well, Caspar knows about the nucleous of this one...lol

The car  did for him inspired me to do a livery for Rotterdam. My biggest problem was settling on a base colour but I quite like the way it came out. This one nagged me for 3-4 days to get done. So today, I did just  that/ I really must do something other then Porsches.... :innocent:

Nice work Den.
I think if you want to make several cars for this team, a lighter bit more gold colour could be better to fit on very different cars?
Just my first thought. But well, they don't have to have the same shade of the colour of course.
 silly arse :getmecoat:

I tried a few colours that had some gold i them but none of themm quite looked "right"
I like how this colour contrasts against the flags. (I'm sure you noticed the colours of the stripe......lol )
